Wrong Location and Hidden Products.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Back when I was still working Kathy received a call to go for certain Medical Appointments. This past Monday I answered a call confirming those Appointments time and place. After a lite breakfast of Toast this morning we finished our Coffee/Tea at the Computers. That gave us just enough time to check the Weather and Messages.

We arrived at the Windsor Cardiac Institute with time to spare. Going to the room we had been told they took Kathy’s Heath Card Information telling her they would call her soon. People that came in after Kathy were being called in while we sat there. Kathy’s appointment time passed and more new arrivals were being called in. When Kathy asked why they said they had no idea what she was there for that she should check with the Office upstairs.

The Receptionists (there are 5) all denied calling and giving the incorrect information but they were all quick to point out that Kathy was now late for her appointment. When I growled she wouldn’t have been if we had been told the right place to go. One of those Receptionists disappeared for nearly Ten Minutes before returning. They would squeeze Kathy in. It was past noon by the time Kathy re-emerged and we were able to leave.

With plans to run more errands we were both feeling a little hungry around 12:30 so we stopped at Wendy’s. Third time in as many days. We used a Coupon to each enjoy a Chicken Sandwich Meal at a reduced price. We were stuffed. Our stomachs have definitely shrank.

We headed to Zehr’s grocery store where we managed to get almost everything on our Shopping List.

Figuring that Walmart would have it we ran into the same problem.

Since it was a Hygiene Product we stopped at the Shoppers Drug Mart closest to our Apartment. When the Clerk could not find it for us she recommended talking to the Pharmacist. Like many things that have been around for years that we have become dependent on using it has been discontinued because an Ingredient used in its making has been deemed a Carcinogen. The product she recommended using was out of stock.

We returned to the Shoppers Drug Mart at the Tecumseh Mall and had a heck of a time finding it because someone stuck another product in front. Kathy will try this out to see how well it works before stocking up on it.

Just wanting to get some exercise we walked through the Mall to the Dollarama. I’ve mentioned before that just because it’s a chain not all the Dollaramas have the same stock. We found something we thought about trying. Then as we were walking through the Food Aisle I spotted the Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) we like to drink behind other Juice Containers. That’s Two Products in one day. We have not been able to find those in months so maybe someone else likes it as much as us and planned on coming back for it.

Loaded down we headed back to the Car and then home. Luckily we had our Folding Shopping Cart in the Car to use to haul everything upstairs.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 46 F (8 C). Having had a lite drizzle most of the day we were not surprised after putting away our groceries that it was Raining quite hard around 4:00.

For supper we kept it simple by having Baked Beans on Toast with Pineapple for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported 51 Active Coronavirus Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region of which some were the new Variant Strain going around. They also talked about the War in Ukraine and the latest attacks against civilians.

Kathy has to fast tomorrow for a Blood Test and as I have always done in the past I will fast with her.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he’s 97 years old and we have no idea where he is.

  2. There seem to be shortages of merchandise now everywhere. Being on the hunt for something we want can be a challenge. Hope you find what you are looking for.
