Scheduling and Sauteing.

I was surprised to see that I’d spent over Four Hours in my Recliner last night before finishing off the rest of the night in Bed.

After getting my usual morning chores ready for when Kathy joined me, I had already read the few RV Blogs we follow that had posted overnight, before she did. If you have a Blog on our Sidebar we read it.

We were still reading on our Computers, when John the building Maintenance Man knocked on our door, with the Repair List that I had submitted the other day. We reviewed the list together. Under New Rules, by the Company, the Electrical Issues now require a Licensed Electrician, but he will still be able to repair the Plumbing Issues himself. He’ll also do a couple of smaller issues but guaranteed me that certain things would not be authorized by the Company, like being able to control our own heat instead of the Corporate Office Two Hundred Miles away in Toronto doing it.

We enjoyed Grilled Olive/Cheese Sandwiches with Dill Pickle Spears for lunch.

With everything going on with my Shoulder/Arm, I had forgotten to schedule Kathy’s Blood Test for her Rheumatologist. When I went to do it today, I found changes to their Website that added time to the problem, but I eventually made it happen. Instead of getting them every Eight Weeks, he’ll only get them every Twelve Weeks before seeing her again.

When it came to making supper this evening, I thought for certain that an Hour would be all it would take to make but I was being certain that no Produce would go bad. With all the Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cherry Tomatoes, Onions, Red Peppers, and Zucchinis I sliced up, there is enough for a few more meals. I also sliced and sauteed up some Bacon to add to the Bacon/Veggie Wraps. We were well satisfied when we moved away from the table.

We later watched “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.”.

With another Special Occasion tomorrow, we’ll be heading out, even if there is Rain in the forecast.

Special Occasion and Another Surprise.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night was nearly as good as Sunday night, though I only managed around Seven Hours of time between the Two CPAP Machines, but probably lost time while sleeping in the bathroom. Not the place I wanted to spend my time at night.

As soon as I saw the Sunlight peeking around the Window Blinds, I headed to the Livingroom. That gave me the chance to open the Balcony Blinds, turn on the Computers and get things started for breakfast. That’s when I heard, then saw Kathy already up and making up the Bed.

I was wanting this to be special but instead after having a lite breakfast we settled in at our Computers with our Coffees. I already had Plans but that was dependant on the weather. The forecast was calling for a wet morning, but according to the Radar it looked like we were in the clear.

Kathy depends on me to keep her Cell Phone charged, so when I checked it I found a Text from our Good Friend Gerry wishing Kathy a Happy Birthday. Unfortunately, his wife Sandy is in Hospital. We travelled together with our Fifth Wheels, to many locations years ago. He’ll let us know more about Sandy’s condition when he learns more himself. We are praying for you Sandy.

As we continued reading our son Kevin, then our daughter Karen also called wishing Kathy Birthday Wishes and a little more.

We took our time getting out the door, to give those still working time to enjoy their lunch. We went to Wendy’s for that meal, so we could enjoy the Special Occasion without any worries. Using a Coupon also helps keep our costs down.

Our next stop was our Storage Unit at Guardian Storage, where we dropped off some CPAP Supplies that don’t fit our present CPAP Machines but older units we had while still Fulltiming. Not many organizations except used Medical Equipment as donations, but we are still looking. When we went to the Office to collect our Mail we hit the jackpot. We last emptied it on Friday but I think the Postal Service is trying to get it all delivered before they possibly return to the Picket Line in May. They were “On Strike” last Fall for nearly a month and were ordered back to work to get the Christmas Deliveries out. Let’s hope this newly elected Government will bargain in good faith. Kathy got a confirmation that her Income Tax Refund had been directly deposited into her account, unlike mine.

Since our Government Cheques were also in, we headed to the Credit Union to make as many payments as possible. That also meant going to the Bank to spread our eggs around. That turned out to be a problem when there were only Two Tellers and Twenty People waiting for service. We were there nearly an Hour.

We stopped at Dollarama to restock on Breakfast Juice and Carbonated Drinks. It took Ten Minutes to find everything and Five Minutes to pay for it. The Bank should take lessons.

We also stopped at the Zehr’s grocery store to pick a few food stocks that we missed writing on the Shopping Lists. By the time we came outside, we were in the middle of Rush Hour, so we had no choice but to cut through the Walmart parking lot in order to get home before midnight.

Seeing very dark Clouds over our area, had us believing it was going to Rain this afternoon, but we got very lucky.

Our Two Wheel Folding Shopping Cart got quite a workout getting things up to our Apartment. The first thing we did was to open the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window, because it was so hot when we walked in. The Building had the Heat cranked up again. We had to rest after getting things put way.

The Weather Guesser on the 6 o’clock Local News confirmed that we broke a Temperature Record that was set back in 1944 this afternoon. They also reviewed the results of yesterday’s Federal Election. Not all was good news.

Instead of going out for supper, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with extra Pineapple and Mozzarella Cheese. We didn’t need anything else to nibble on for the rest of the night.

We later watched FBI”, “Will Trent” and “The Rookiefor entertainment.

Making certain to take a low dosage Pain Medication before going to bed seemed to have worked out even better last night. My time connected to my Two CPAP Machines was nearly Eight Hours, but I don’t want to overdo it.

Kathy was up nearly an Hour after me. I’d busied myself getting my On-Line reading done before. Knowing it would be a busy day, breakfast was a few Cookies and a Yogurt Cup. Though Kathy had her Coffee at her Computer, I kept mine at the table. Before she knew it, I was hauling the Laundry Hamper out to be sorted, along with the Bedding. In the process, I also treat some stains to guaranty that they’d wash away.

Since before my Surgery last summer Kathy has been helping me with the Laundry, but today there was for more than just that. After getting some Washers going, we headed downstairs to the main Lobby where our Federal Election Poll was set up. Since our Mailing Address and Living Address are different, we had to fill in additional forms, which took an extra Five Minutes.

We still had the chance to spend Thirty Minutes in our Apartment before going to move things around in the Laundry Room. I was a little disappointed to find one of the Washers had malfunctioned by showing an Error Code. It only needed to be opened and closed before it started on its own.

This time we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pepperoni Pizza for lunch. Counting the cooking time, eating and heading back to the Laundry Room, we were right on time to start folding the first load. Because of the malfunction, we had time to bring that load upstairs, then have a snack before heading down to finish the chore.

Everything was folded and put away in the Dressers before 3:00. We kept supper simple by enjoying Hotdog Wraps for our meal. (That’s a lot less Carbs to eat.)

With all the Canadian Channels covering the Federal Election, the only other program we were able to later watch was “Elsbeth”.

With tomorrow being a Special Day, we’ll see what we will be up to.

That 1 mg Pain Pill once again was enough to let me sleep through my Shoulder Pain last night. It is not enough to take away all the discomfort, but as long as I’m not tossing and turning, I am okay.

After being hooked up to my Two CPAP Machines for a total of Seven Hours, I got things ready for breakfast before starting to read at my Computer. I read blogs of family visits, helping at the farm, to exploring new adventures before Kathy came out to join me.

Cereal for breakfast was enough to tide us over until after 1:30 for lunch. We still weren’t really that hungry so we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Spinach Pizza that was loaded with Pineapple Bits I’d chopped up yesterday.

While enjoying our meal we watched a few episodes of “Heavy Rescue 401”. That concerns Heavy Duty Tow Trucks that recover Semis, Construction Equipment or vehicles that have been in Accidents or gone over Cliffs and just need that extra muscle. Even then it sometimes requires Two or Three Heavy Duty Trucks to do a single recovery.

There were a few more things accomplished on the Computers before I started getting our late supper ready. We enjoyed Sauteed Potato Slices with Brussels Sprouts and Honey Garlic Spare Ribs for our meal. It was later topped off with a small dish of Frozen Chocolate Yogurt for dessert.

There were plenty of Dishes and Cookware to clean up, but it didn’t take long working together.

We later watched few episodes of “Criminal Minds” before getting ourselves cleaned up for the night.
Tomorrow is the
Federal Election in Canada, so if you have not already voted in an Advanced Polling Station, don’t forget to do your duty. If you decide not to Vote, you have no right to complain if your MP or PM don’t do what you’d like to see happen in our Country.

Easing The Pain and an Easy Slice.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Before going to bed last night, I Cheated. I spotted some of the Pain Medications that were sent home with me after my Hip Surgery last August and took one. They were all weaker than the Extra Strength Tylenol that I had been taking before, so when I found the one that showed 1mg in strength, that was the one I took. It didn’t help me to sleep any better, but it did take the sharpness out of the Pain in my Shoulder.

It Rained before we headed to bed last night, but the only thing we had the entire day was a heavy Cloud Covering.

I was again up earlier than needed (6:30), so I simply started getting caught up on my morning reading. When Kathy joined me, it only took a few minutes to serve a Muffin and Banana with the Breakfast Juice for our meal.

There was extra corresponding that needed to be done today, so it was past noon when I put together Baked Beans and Hotdogs on Toast for our lunch.

This afternoon, it seemed the Pain in my Shoulder was reflecting down my Bicep again, similar to what had happened to my Hip/Leg. When I started having problems just clicking the mouse on my Computer, I took another 1mg Pain Pill to ease the sensation. I figured that if I can last out the weekend, it will be better to see my own Family Doctor.

Needing to free up space in our Freezer, we shared the last of the Perogies with Sour Cream and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese for supper.

Kathy was watching a US News channel while I sliced up a Pineapple we bought earlier this past week. Even though I didn’t have to apply any pressure to the Knife, my shoulder started to complain. By sitting down for Ten Minutes, I was able to finish with no further problems. Kathy was a little worried when she saw me slicing the Pineapple, with only a single finger atop the blade.

We later watched “Heavy Rescue 401”, “The Rookies” and finally the movie Spider-Man: Far From Home”.

My Shoulder/Arm is again acting up, so I will not hesitate to take that Low Dosage Pain Medication.
