Good Sleep, Rising Numbers and More White Stuff.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

The other night I had a slight problem sleeping because I felt cold under the sheets we had on the bed. When I mentioned that along with the colder temperatures heading our way to Kathy her answer was simple “Leave the Bedcover on”. That was how we kept warm during the Winter in the Trailer. The only reason I didn’t do it before was she tends to toss the sheets off when she’s warm then pulls them on when she gets cold. Last night we both slept like a couple of rocks under the warmth of the Bedcover and neither of us took them off.

It was 8:30 when I rolled out of bed and seemed to have a sluggish start. After starting my morning routine I had barely turned on my Computer when Kathy came out to join me. I was serving breakfast before she sat at the table.

There were no additional Job Postings for me to apply for the entire day. We spent most of the morning at the Computers.

Lunch was simple we had Leftover Pizza from last night topped off with an Apple Sauce Cup for dessert. We cleaned up the dishes before going back to the Computers.

I managed to finish reading all the Blogs that we follow on our Sidebar that had published since last night. That gave me the chance to exercise. For some unknown reason I’ve been having a hard time being motivated to workout but I felt up to the challenge today. I managed to get all Three Sets of my entire routine in and feel good for it.

We watched an episode of “Law and Order” before the 6 o’clock Local News came on. They spoke about more witnesses taking the stand in the Derek Chauvin Trial. That was news to us since we didn’t watch that today.

The Federal Government announced the construction of a plant in Quebec to produce Vaccines. It will take nearly Five Years to have it running but it will make Canada less dependent of foreign manufacturing plants.

The Provincial Government is supposed to announce tomorrow morning which region of the Ontario will go back into Lock-Down to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. The Windsor/Essex Region saw 54 New Cases bringing the total to 70 of the Variants.

Our high temperature of 59 F (15 C) was reached between Midnight and One this morning before dropping to near Freezing. We did recover getting back up to 50 F (10 C) this afternoon. Tonight will be Below Freezing with a Flurry accumulation of up to 2”. Tomorrow we’ll be lucky to reach Spring Temperatures.

After the News we modified a Caesar Salad for our supper by adding finely chopped Celery, Onions and Peppers. We also shared an Acorn Squash as a side along with an Apple Sauce Cup for dessert.

We later watched “Bull”, “Nancy Drew” and “The Equalizer” to fill our evening.

Cleaning Up, Derek Chauvin Trial and More Rising Numbers.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Wanting to get things accomplished early today when the Clock showed it was just past 7:00 this morning I got up. Since we had talked about it last night the first thing I did was have my Cereal for breakfast. That accomplished making certain I’d make it to lunch and it would give me a chance to start thinking clearly.

I was dressed and had the Laundry sorted and was just about to head out the door when Kathy joined me after 8:00. With some instruction about setting my Coffee to cool I headed to the Second Floor Laundry Room. I was alone but with one of the Washers was Out of Order so I took the stairs down to the First Floor Laundry Room.

Back at the Apartment I sat with Kathy while we enjoyed our morning beverages. I even had the chance to check The Weather Network to see what if any storms were heading our way.

Back at the Laundry Rooms there still was no one else to get in my way. Once everything was in the Dryers I headed back upstairs.

Kathy had already made the bed and was nearly finished the Dishes. I managed to check my E-Mail and start reading Blogs before heading back downstairs.

I would return back to the Apartment with all Five Loads of Laundry folded just after 12:30. Kathy had just finished Dusting and Vacuuming the entire Apartment.

We had Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch along with Grapes, Maple Cookies and Apple Sauce Cups for dessert.

Check out the Wind Gusts.

We seem to notice High Winds more being on the Eighth Floor then what we did at our last apartment on the Second Floor. The Wind was growing as we ate our meal where it sounded like someone shaking our Balcony Door. After getting all the Laundry put away we started watching the trial of Former Officer Derek Chauvin as a distraction from the Wind. The witnesses today ranged from young adults who were not Eighteen when the incident happened to a Nine Year Old who was with her Cousin. They also had an Off-Duty Paramedic that was not allowed to give assistance to an unresponsive George Floyd.

On the 6 o’clock Local News it was nearly a repeat of yesterday when they reviewed the latest testimony of the at the trial over the murder of George Floyd. The Ontario Government is not happy with the upswing in Coronavirus Cases. There is talk of another Lock-Down in order to bring the numbers down again. Locally in the Windsor/Essex Region today there were 28 New Cases bringing the total Active Cases to 291 with 69 being the new Variant Strains. There was a 60 year old male living in a Retirement Home who died bring the area total to 403 Coronavirus Deaths.

Today’s temperature reached a high of 66 F (19 C). Thursday we’ll be lucky to get above Freezing.

For our late supper we had a Medium Store Bought Hawaiian Pizza. This was not a Thin Crust so there’s leftovers for tomorrow.

I finally finished getting caught up on reading all the Blogs this evening that had published by supper tonight. As I’ve said if you’re on our Sidebar I may not always Comment or read your Blog the moment you post but I do read them all.

We later watched a “Criminal Minds” that we missed. I guess when you Fulltime not all those programs are important.

Cold Start, No Ads, Trial Begins and Numbers Surging.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Again we managed to sleep so soundly overnight that when sunlight started seeping in around the Bedroom Blind this morning it woke me before 8:00. I even had the chance to turn on my Computer and start getting things ready for breakfast before Kathy joined me.

Looking at The Weather Network the forecasted Freezing Temperature was a reality and made us appreciate being inside.

There were no jobs being advertised today but there were plenty of Blogs to read.

We again had Italian Wedding Soup for lunch with a Shared Pear, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert.

As soon as we cleaned up the Dishes we wanted to check what we could watch later this evening. Since we don’t have any TV Guides we wanted to look at the Guide on the Television. Instead the first thing that showed up on the screen was the first Prosecution Witness against the officer charged with the killing of George Floyd last May.

We watched that until the 6 o’clock Local News came on. They mentioned the trial as well as the sudden surge in Coronavirus Cases in the province of Ontario. As for the Windsor/Essex Region we had 37 New Cases bringing the total Active Cases to 293 of which 61 were Variants.

Our high temperature only reached 47 F (14 C). Thursday’s high should just break the Freezing Mark.

For supper we had Grilled Chicken along with Cauliflower Paddies that Kathy made from yesterday’s Leftovers topped off with a bottle of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine).

Tomorrow will be spent catching up on what we didn’t do today.

Cooking Day, Talking To Our Daughter and One Day Spike.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

One of the big problems that we have both been experiencing lately is not sleeping soundly through the entire night. I was really surprised this morning when I woke exactly Eight Hours from the time I went to bed and don’t recall rolling over once.

I had already finely chopped Celery, Onion and Peppers when I heard Kathy starting to stir in the bedroom. I was busy frying up the Bacon as well as mixing everything into the Omelette when she joined me at the table. She was being teased by the aroma or it all cooking while I sliced up the Cheddar Cheese that would be folded in. When it was all served she complimented me on a breakfast well made and tasty.

The sky was fairly clear and the outside temperature was already in the upper Thirties. Hard to believe after having those warmer days over the last couple of weeks that we are now facing more seasonal temperatures.

At the Computers there were only a few new jobs being posted but nothing in any field that I was familiar with. We’d spend the remainder of the morning doing chores, reading Blogs and drinking our Coffees.

I surprised Kathy when I served Italian Wedding Soup (her Favourite) for lunch along with Chocolate Chip Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert.

We’d barely sat back at the Computers to finish our Coffee/Tea when our daughter Karen called. Using the builtin Hands-Free in her car she was just getting back from visiting a dear friend out of town. They had Planned on visiting outside but Mother Nature had not co-operated.

Our Cups were empty by the time we said Good-Bye so it was the perfect time to clean up the Dishes and Kitchen.

Since the Wind started gusting close to the Thirty MPH mark we managed to watch a Hallmark Movie that we’d missed last night.

Later while I cleaned and started cooking a head of Cauliflower Kathy started cooking Perogies as a side. I slowed down the Perogies and sped up the Cauliflower. It’s been years since we cooked it that way but it all came out perfect. Serving the Cauliflower lightly seasoned with Vinegar and Salt brought back memories of my mother serving it that way.

On the 6 o’clock Local News the Provincial Government was concerned with a One Day Spike in Coronavirus Cases. As for the Windsor/Essex Region we saw 30 New Cases bring the Total Active Cases to 265 with 0 New Deaths. Our high only reached 45 F (7 C) this afternoon.

We later watched the Special where the Top Coronavirus Doctors under the former administration spoke about the challenges they faced when it became Political rather then a Medical Issue.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll be busy.

E-mail Tips, Kathy’s Vaccine Appointment and Comment Suggestion.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

I was up by 8:00 this morning but since there wasn’t anything planned I was soon sitting at my Computer. There was a slight Cloud covering which explained the 39 F (4 C) temperature.

I had already checked my E-Mail finding no new Job Advertisements before Kathy got up. Soon after returning to the Computer there were Three that I immediately applied for.

I also received an E-mail from Andy who periodically reads our Blog. He mentioned that he likes it better when we are travelling and I don’t believe there would be an RVer out there that would disagree with him. Being a businessman he also passed on a few tips as to what my Resume should and should not contain. Thank You Andy I appreciate any and all pointers as things have really changed since I was just starting my career a few years ago.

I’d finished reading all the Blogs we follow before we sat down to have lunch. We had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Olives for garnishing and Mixed Berries over Yogurt for our dessert.

We cleaned up the Dishes before returning to the Computers. Kathy was able to register to receive her Coronavirus Vaccine on-line but then a message showed for her to call the Windsor Essex County Health Unit. Only part of her information got through and in a matter of Twenty Minutes she was delayed by a day for her shot.

I believe all this lack of movement makes it more difficult to get moving but I did get some exercise in.

We were lucky that our 6 o’clock Local News was not pre-empted tonight. They reported 59 New Coronavirus Cases bringing the Active Cases to 251 for the Windsor/Essex region. They also reported 1 New Death bringing the Total Deaths to 402 in our area.

The temperature reached 57 F (14 C) this afternoon but we can expect Rain and Thunderstorms overnight and by April 1st we’ll see below Freezing temperatures again.

We simply had Macaroni and Cheese for our supper before returning to the Computers.

In a Comment Don suggested the problem with my CPAP Machine could possibly be the Programming. He could very well be right because these things are totally computerized to the point when we shut them off in the morning they use nearest the Cell Tower to send a message of how we slept to the Windsor Sleep Disorder Clinic even when we re travelling. Thanks Don I’ll check it out and if I can’t I’ll bring it back to Vital-Aire.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring at the moment.

Crazy CPAP, Good Workout and Low Numbers.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Last night wasn’t as good as Wednesday. I kept waking on and off but it wasn’t because of aches or pains. It was because of my Crazy CPAP Machine. You’ve heard me complain about this before as a fact this one is the replacement of the replacement. Once the Machine is turned on it will automatically activate as soon as it senses you breathing and if you rip your Mask off it will remain on but stop pumping air. These things are supposed to keep us breathing at night but when you lay on your back your breathing actually gets shallow. My breathing gets so shallow that my Machine stops pumping because it thinks I’ve disconnected. That causes me to wake up gasping for air. When it senses my breathe it immediately hits me with a blast of air that if my Mask wasn’t strapped on it would blow off. It might happen again tonight or it might wait another Three Months to do it again like the last time. It has only happened Once to Kathy.

Looking outside this morning there had been plenty of Rain overnight but the Clouds still completely filled the sky.

Notice the Wind Speeds.

After breakfast a few more Job Applications were made before I had the chance to finish reading the Blogs we follow.

For lunch we kept it simple with Chicken Noodle Soup along with Orange Slices, Chocolate Chip Cookies and a Yogurt Cup.

Once lunch settled I was able to get a good workout in. While cooling down I double checked if there were any new Jobs to apply for. I received notification that the Job that was only posted yesterday was closed the day before. Now I was upset and here’s why. Since the beginning of November I have applied for the same job only to receive the same message of it being closed before it was opened. I reported this to information to the Job Application Site.

Watching the 6 o’clock Local News we learned there was only 1 New Coronavirus Case in the Windsor/Essex region. There were no new Deaths but of all the Active Cases 55 were of the New Variants. Our temperature only reached 59 F (15 C) and we can expect more wet and cooler weather for the next couple of weeks. They called it Spring Weather.

We waited until after the News was finished before having a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Chicken and Kale Pizza.

Moments ago we just finished watching a new episode of “Blue Bloods”. There was so much going on it kept our attention.

Complete Turnaround, Suspect Ad and Lower Number.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Yesterday when we started our day Clouds filled the sky but later in the day the Sun made everything right. This morning we woke to a Sunny sky that would later in the afternoon Cloud over. According to the forecasts our area could see some severe Rain overnight but it is nothing compared to many who live in the Southern States putting up with deadly Tornadoes. We can only pray for those lost or injured and those who lost their Homes to the storms.

It was already in the Mid-Fifties when we got up and soon had the Balcony Door opened by 10:00 letting in plenty of Fresh Air.

Looking at Job Ads this morning there was only One being advertised in my trade. I had never heard of the company even though it’s been around for some time. With its name I decided to research it myself on Google. Pictures say a lot and they showed something that was totally different then being described in the Ad. Then I noticed a spot where someone could rate them and why. Those comments all recent again told a different story then the Ad mentioned. I Know there are Nay-Sayers out there but in the end I did not apply.

For lunch we had Perogies topped with Sour Cream and Shredded Cheese. Kathy made dessert by topping Yogurt with Mixed Berries. It all tasted great.

We finished our Coffee/Tea before cleaning the Dishes and Kitchen. The only reason we’d do that in the middle of the day was so that we could once again get it dirty again.

After we set up the Crock Pot I started chopping Celery, Onion, Peppers and Potatoes. While Kathy put them and the seasonings in the Crock Pot I finished cubing the Steak while it was still Frozen. Using a very sharp knife the meat retains its shape where if it had been defrosted it takes a lot longer to complete.

More jobs were advertised again this afternoon but I’ve applied for each and every one of them.

We actually sat at the Table enjoying supper while we watched the 6 o’clock Local News this evening. It was basically a repeat of one Government Party fighting another over how business is being handled as well as the Vaccine Shortages. Finally when they spoke about the Coronavirus numbers they only mention that we had just 21 New Cases in the Windsor/Essex region.

We reached a high temperature of 64 F (18 C) today.

We later watched another episode of “Criminal Minds” that we had not seen.

Fast Asleep, Visit From Mary and A New Record.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Last night I simply took a single Melatonin Tablet before going to bed and it worked. Other then the Two Times I rolled over I slept the entire night. As mentioned before in other Blogs when I get to bed early I sleep in.

There were overnight Rain Clouds filling the sky when I opened the Balcony Blinds this morning. Looking closer there were puddles throughout the paring lot. I barely got things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me.

We had enough time to check our E-Mails which allowed me to apply for another Job. This seemed to be a new company so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

We were dressed and had things set up for Kathy’s 12:30 appointment early when Mary from Healthy Heals arrived Twenty Minutes ahead of schedule. She had a cancellation from one of her other patients saying they were sick.

With Kathy being Type 2 Diabetic and having problems with her feet she needs specialized Foot-Care. The Health Care Plan I have covers the cost of In-Home Treatment by specially trained Nurses. Knowing that we travelled Mary showed me how to take care of Kathy’s feet while we are away with the understanding that when we returned she would be in charge once again.

Over the years Mary has also become a friend sharing experiences between us all. She’ll become a Grandmother for the second time this September.

We had a late lunch of Caesars Salad along with sharing Half a Cantaloupe for dessert.

Back at the Computers I applied for another Job. What I find very strange is that I don’t receive notice of these Jobs all at once. They seem to come in scattered through separate E-Mails. Then days later they will all appear on a single list.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they spoke about the Shootings in Boulder, Colorado then about the fact that the shipments of Vaccines in Canada are once again being delayed. They stressed the importance of the Vaccines not only to fight the Coronavirus but the different Variants that are starting to appear here. When it came to the Local Numbers they reported 19 New Cases bring the Active Cases to 246 with 49 being New Variants to the Windsor/Essex region.

Notice the Winds.

As for our weather the Sun showed up along with strong Southerly Winds getting our temperature up to 70 F (21 C) breaking a 57 Year Record. We’ll be seeing our temperatures becoming more seasonal before the end of the week.

For our late supper we had a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Cavolo Pizza. It was a first time for us but it won’t be the last. We also had the rest of the Cantaloupe from lunch for dessert.

We relaxed watching “Bull”, “Nancy Drew” and “The Equalizer”. They were all good.
