Rough, Modified Salad and Loosening Restrictions.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

With my getting up Hours earlier then I’m used to yesterday by the time the Blog was being published last night it was hard keeping my eyes open. That should have meant that I would sleep like a rock but instead exactly the opposite happened.

We tried opening the Balcony Door to let in more Fresh Air but moments later when the Wind changed direction it was quickly closed.

There was only One On-Line Job Ad this morning that I completely filled in but wisely told Kathy about it before submitting it. With it involving a daily round trip of over a Hundred Miles she agreed that it would probably cost more then I would make so it was deleted.

For lunch I modified a Garden Salad by adding finely chopped Celery, Onions, Peppers and Tomato before adding Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. The Salad was big enough that we could have it for supper as well. Kathy was busy baking Biscuits as a side along with making a dessert plate of Orange Slices, Maple Cookies and Yogurt Cups.

After lunch I received an E-mail stating that an Employer was looking at my Application. There was an Icon next to it that allowed me to view all the Applications I’ve made. To date that’s been Sixty-Five with most being closed and less then Ten as being viewed. That can be discouraging.
I had a brief workout as a way to relax.

Since we weren’t really hungry yet we watched the 6 o’clock Local News. It looks like our Provincial Government will be loosening some of the restrictions on the number of people allowed in local Restaurants. There will also be an increase in available Vaccines but we are still not within the allotted age groups. As for the Coronavirus numbers today we had 29 New Cases in the Windsor/Essex region bringing the Active Cases to 279. Fortunately there were no new Deaths keeping the Total to 401 lost to the Virus.

Temperature-Wise we only reached 43 F (6 C) but it should be better tomorrow.

For supper we had the Leftover Salad and Biscuits from lunch with no dessert.

We later watched “Magnum PI” and “Blue Bloods”.

I’ll be taking an Extra Strength Tylenol before going to bed.

  1. Hard to get a job when you send in 65 and only 10 are looked at..hopefully that'll change for you.

  2. Having the right wording on a resume does make a difference, as well as the cover letter explaining why you want the job. There are ways to dress up a resume by listing what you could be doing in addition to your experience. Also not every detailed occurrence needs to be recorded.

  3. I notice my sleep patterns are changing. Waking up earlier and just resting till the sun comes up. Not good news seeing the resume track record. Certainly disheartening. Oh well. Just takes one.

  4. Hope you sleep well!! Quite a slog with the job search, and with no payoff yet. But surely, surely it could happen! Your persistence should be rewarded and I certainly hope so...
