Two Calls, Job Interview, No Multi-Vitamins and Solar Chargers Working.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Even without the extra covers on the bed last night we were both warm enough that we spent most of the night sleeping on top of the sheets instead of under.

As soon as I got up the first thing I did was to open the Balcony Blinds allowing the bright Sunshine to fill the room. I then busied myself finely chopping Peppers, Onions, Celery and Cheddar Cheese. The Sun disappeared behind a wall of Clouds.

The smell of Bacon cooking was all it took to have Kathy getting out of bed early. By the time she was seated at the table our Coffee/Tea were already being served and the Omelette was cooking in the Bacon Grease. It’s easier to cook a single Omelette and simply share it. Kathy though it tasted pretty good.

Our Low Temperature.

It was strange that we had just sat down at the Computers when our House Phone rang. It was our Family Doctor’s Office calling so the Doctor could talk with Kathy.

Warmer then Quartzsite again.

The Doctor had just got on the line when my Cell Phone started ringing. It was the Unemployed Help Center calling me. Kathy spoke with our Doctor and found out that she’ll have to contact the Windsor/Essex County Health Unit to find out if it will be safe for her to get the Coronavirus Vaccine and then to book an appointment for her age group. My call was scheduling my first In-Person Job Interview at a local welding shop for tomorrow morning. That would definitely affect any scheduling so we would have to get things done today that we were going to do then.

Kathy made Toasted Tomato Sandwiches for lunch and decided to finish off the Devils Food Cake for our dessert. As soon as our drinks were finished and I had made a List we headed out the door. The Wind had picked up but the Sun broke through the Clouds.

That's a 15 Foot by Thirty Foot Flag
hardly moving in the middle  of the picture.

With the Interview tomorrow I also wanted to be certain the Truck would start. It’s been over a week since it was used and I hadn’t set up the Solar Chargers yet so I want to be certain it would start. We had to use the Car to boost the Truck.

Our first stop was at the nearby Shoppers Drug Mart so I could pick up the Vitamins we’ll need the next time I do up the Pill Doucettes. Kathy stayed in the Truck so it could be left running. All the Vitamins were “On-Sale” and since this was Seniors Discount Day we really saved some cash but there was a problem. There were no Multi-Vitamins for Adults available. Since the Coronavirus outbreak a year ago people suddenly realize how beneficial Vitamins are at keeping them healthy. We drove to the Shoppers at the Tecumseh Mall having no luck there as well.

Our next stop was Princess Auto where I returned the Seventy Dollar Solar Charger since we have one for the Car and Truck that only cost Thirty Dollars each. Kathy stayed in the Truck and was enjoying the fresh air and it was warm enough we both took our jackets off.

Our next stop was the Bulk Barn where I picked up more Nuts and Raisins for snacks while Kathy waited.

We drove over to Dollarama where I got a loaf of Bread while Kathy waited.

We stopped at Two more Shoppers Drug Marts in search of the Multi-Vitamins with no luck. Each time Kathy stayed in the Truck while I went in by myself. If you are wondering why it’s simple. There are now over Thirty Coronavirus Variants and with Kathy’s weak Immune System it’s better for her to enjoy the fresh air then be exposed to the Virus.

After arriving back at the Apartment I retrieved a pair of Scissors before returning to the Truck and Car. The Solar Chargers were sealed in a Hard Plastic Wrap that needed to be cut off. Both vehicles will now stay charge even if they are not used for extended periods.

Look at the Wind Gusts in the lower
left corner. Taken before we went out.

On the 6 o’clock Local News we heard there was 1 New Death and 39 New Coronavirus Cases bringing the Active Cases to 281. Windsor broke another record temperature today by hitting 68 F (20 C) shattering the old record of 59 F (15 C) for this date.

We had a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Spinach Pizza for supper.

After cleaning the Dishes we spent time on the Computers until Criminal Minds came on.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
