Two Lists.

It was hard to believe that I only woke a few times throughout the night. I used the same mixture for my Nighttime Mickey as before and it worked. Maybe I just need to leave it build in my system. Kathy does not take anything to sleep, so when I sleep well, so does she. This morning she did some catching up for the past few days.

Breakfast was a simple Toast, before taking our Coffees to the Computers. After filling in some paperwork and checking the Fridge, we left with Two Lists, one for where we were going and the other for what we needed.

All the White Stuff that came down yesterday was all gone. Since it would be a busy afternoon we stopped at Arby’s for lunch. Using a Coupon we saved on the cost.

We walked over to the Credit Union to do our banking. When we came out, traffic was stopped. Someone tried running across the road and only made it part way. A crowd was around a young man that was holding his Knee on the ground. With that many people there, we headed up the side street so as not get tied up.

Our next stop was Guardian Storage where Kathy retrieved our Mail, before we continued to Princess Auto. I’ve mentioned before that I watch their Sales and keep a supply of Electrical Fittings on hand for when we travel. Adding some Anchors to the list will also help some upcoming projects.

Not wanting to get tied up in the earlier accident, we took the Airport Road out to Tecumseh. The Accountant we’ve been using for years, has decided to call it quits, so they recommended another to do the job. Luckily they have a parking lot, so it was easy for Kathy to walk the papers in, that consented to having our records transferred.

Now we headed back in the direction of where we had started. There was a Two Vehicle Collision stopping east bound traffic while the Police were clearing it up. When we got back near the Credit Union, everything was clear.

We made fast work of getting what we needed at Dollarama and the Zehr’s grocery store so as to beat Rush Hour Traffic.

Even though I limited my walking, my Hip/Leg Pain was telling me to sit down. It was after the 6 o’clock Local News before we shared a Medium Store-Bought Thin-Crust Spinach Pizza for supper.

We might be seeing the Sun starting on Friday.

Trying To Make Appointments.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I didn’t want to take any chances last night about being able to sleep, so I took an extra spoon of ZzzQuil. All was good until 2:00 in the morning, when my Hip/Leg Pain caused me to sit upright in bed. Another Extra Strength Tylenol lasted the rest of the night.

When we first looked out the Balcony Door, it was overcast but the pavement was dry. In the short time it took us to each have a Toast for breakfast, we had a hard time seeing outside. By the end of the day everything was again White, but the forecasts show that it could all be gone tomorrow.

Besides working on our Computers, I was busy making phone calls. The soonest I could get an appointment with our Optometrist is April and another Doctor won’t be available to make appointments with for Three Weeks. I called the Surgeon’s Office to find out if they had heard from the other Surgeon. I was told the Receptionist that makes the referrals, was away last week, but did make the appointment Monday. What’s our medical system coming down to?

We had Homemade Tomato and Cheese Soup for lunch which helped clean the Fridge, as well as keeping us energized.

It may sound mundane that we are not too active at this time, but even though I’ve been told to keep moving, the more I do, the more Intense Hip/Leg Pain I feel.

It was close to 5:00 when the flurries stopped, but according to the Weather Guessers we could have Freezing Rain overnight.

I’ll try the same Medication Mickey tonight.

Not What I Thought.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I thought that I had figured out the right ratio to my Medication Mickey, but I was wrong. Before going to bed last night all the Medications were taken the same as Saturday Night. When I am tossing and turning, it also starts to interfere with Kathy’s quality of sleep, so there was a choice to be made.

After only an Hour of the increasing Hip/Leg Pain, I headed to my recliner in the living room. I actually was able to sit comfortably enough, that I drifted in and out of sleep. After Two Hours I woke up feeling chilled because there were no blankets to recline with.

Back in bed I only woke while repositioning a few times. It didn’t take long for Kathy to follow me when I did get up. She said she was awake for nearly Two Hours, because she didn’t feel me next to her. So much for trying to let her sleep.

The Sun never showed itself all day, but neither did the Rain. With more Winter Weather forecasted for tomorrow, who knows what we’ll be doing.

It Worked.

I didn’t mess around last night and took the full Medication Mickey. I still woke a few times, but slept the rest of the night.

The Sun never showed itself the entire day, though the above seasonal temperatures continued to melt away the remaining piles of dirty Sxxw.

Lunch was a Veggie Omelette made from the Leftover Stir-Fry. It was filling enough to last past the 6 o’clock Local News. The temperatures will keep us comfortable for the next couple of weeks, though we won’t be seeing the Sun much.

Supper was a tasty Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Bacon/Ham/Mushroom Pizza.

We’ll be busier tomorrow.

Stubbornness and Arthritis.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Those of you that have been reading about my changing the Medication I take to help me sleep, have been wondering why. One of the reasons, is that I don’t want to become dependant on them and I don’t want to go too far. Another reason is that anything we put into our bodies passes through our Livers and it can only take so much.

There is another reason, and my Sister Anna will laugh when she reads this, it’s Stubbornness. Before I started school, whenever I injured myself, my father told me to keep going beyond the Pain. With time I would later visit the Doctors only to be told not to do it. I once tore all the Ligaments in my ankle, but dragged my foot Two Miles, for another Hour to complete my Paper Route. I hobbled into the Emergency Room at the Hospital, with a Rusty Spike through my foot, that still had a piece of rotted wood attached. Sound close to what I was doing, when still working?

Even with that lack of sleep we were finishing our Pastry by 8:30 this morning, and taking our Coffees to the Computers. I found a Comment that showed Twice, so I went to remove one. Suddenly there were Thirty that I had to get rid of. Reviewing the Comments in the Dashboard part of our Blog I found more of the same, on other posts. Two Hours later I think I got all that SPAM.

The Sun actually appeared for a Half Hour, but by the time we finished lunch it was gone.

With the bouts of Rheumatoid and Osteoporosis Arthritis that Kathy gets in her Hands, we’ve found that by wearing Compression Gloves eases a lot of the Pain. Somehow she lost her Glove, so after searching the entire Apartment, we did the same to the Car. With no Luck, We headed to Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollarama and Walmart, only to find they were all sold out. We finally stopped at Showcase (As Seen On TV) at the Tecumseh Mall, to get the last one available.

If you think I’m stubborn, Kathy is in Constant Pain with her Hands, that’s Stubborn!

We stopped at Tim Horton’s and used a Gift Card to buy our supper. We had Grilled Caesars Wraps, a Donut and Coffee.

Kathy’s hands are feeling better with the Gloves and I’ve already taken the full amount of Medication to help me sleep. After having spent another sleep starved night, I’m trying hard to break that Stubborn Streak and take care of myself, like I take care of Kathy.
