Trying out my theory of getting up early on my day off seemed to pan out this morning, when I opened my eyes seconds before the Alarm went off. Luckily, it did not wake Kathy.

Starting off the week was easy, when I practically do it every day. There was already a Rebuild Feedscrew waiting on the Inspection Bench needing some TLC. When they are welded on the PTA, lots of defects are hidden, but there are some that cannot be seen until the machining begins. This was the Unit that Mile told me I had welded incorrectly, but it was only the top of the Flights I had done. Customers pay to have their screws Nitrated because of its hardening qualities, but if it has to be welded in the future, it is like trying to weld a piece of material shot with a Shotgun. I would do Three of these Units today.

Even though it was cooler than it had been last week, it still felt good using the AC on the way home.

We worked together contacting the Credit Union, so that Kathy could do her On-Line Banking. It had been some time since she last did it at home, and the Computerized Security would not let her in. With the help of a Customer Representative she was soon back on track.

We enjoyed Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls on Vegetable Rice for supper.

Even though it is only Monday, I’m looking forward to our upcoming Long Weekend.

Early Call and Catching Up.

After another night of well-deserved sleep when I saw the clock reading 7:05 this morning, I decided to start my day. Even though it was still my day off, by getting up this early will make it easier for me to fall asleep tonight and be closer to my work week wake up time.

Looking outside the forecasted Cloud Cover was still in place along with a few puddles created throughout the night.

I was busy reading Blogs when Kathy came out to join me. We again kept breakfast simple with a Pecan Tart for breakfast, and Coffees we brought to the Computers. Before we sat down to the morning routine my Aunt Anna called by 8:30. She had changed her phone number and I nearly did not answer. The last time she called I was at work, and we’ve played phone tag since.

Fortunately, the temperatures and Humidex levels were kept low this morning. Kathy did not even rush when she went out to water her Flower Plant on the Balcony.

With only a single Fan going we were keeping the Apartment comfortable. For lunch we had Split Pea with Ham Soup, along with Cheese on Crackers and a slice of Cake for dessert.

After lunch I did more Data Entries and am far from finished. With my work and appointment schedule it is hard to do during the week.

We finally turned on the AC around 4:00. It was starting to warm up inside and I was going to add to it. I started chopping Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers and Zucchini to make a Stir-Fry. While it was warming up in the Wok, I cut up a Pineapple that we can enjoy as a dessert.

We enjoyed our Veggie Wraps while watching the 6 o’clock Local News. Looks like we’ll be getting more moderate weather for the next week.

After we did the Dishes together, Kathy was back to making my lunch for tomorrow.

Sleep and Catching Up.

By continuing to take the Prescribed Pain Pill with a Tylenol, I once again had a very restful night’s sleep. Unfortunately, that did not stop the noticeable Pain in the Hip/Leg that has become a constant in my being.

We started our day by viewing the waterlogged parking lot as we had a Pecan Tart for breakfast, before taking our Coffees to the Computers.

We enjoyed Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch, keeping in mind that our day had little activity to it. I later spent a few hours entering Data that will be used in future Blogs.

Around 2:00 the Sun started breaking through the Clouds, so we headed out to do some necessary shopping.

Our first destination was Dollarama, where as I have mentioned before, we save money on many items that are more expensive at the grocery stores.

It was nearly 3:30 when we were leaving and we still had to go to the grocery store itself. We stopped at Pita Pit for a healthy version of fast food.

It was past 4:00 when we arrived at Zehr’s grocery store, to purchase our Fruits, Vegetables and Dairy.

After getting everything put away in the Apartment, I actually had a Snap before the 6 o’clock Local News came on.

I keep telling Kathy not to overdo it since her Ablation, but she is leaving me in her dust.

We’ll try to find something more exciting to do tomorrow.

Change Of Pace.

Since I didn’t sleep any better on Wednesday night with the new Pain Pill alone, I did try it in combination with a single Tylenol. The result was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in weeks. Our Family Doctor makes decisions about our health, while leaning on the side of Caution. Our Pharmacist also leans the same way but does not have the years of experience our Doctor does, maybe that’s why I was sent home with the Naloxone.

At work, I continued working on the “MoreFeedscrew as well as a couple of Centering Holes that had to be filled before the products could be shipped. It seemed the senior employees disappeared after lunch and Mile stayed inside the Air-Conditioned Office. Rather that sitting idle in the Stifling Heat, I simply punched out after completing my last job.

I stopped at Motor City Community Credit Union to deposit my Pay-Cheque. When I came out it looked like a passing cloud had left a few drops behind.

I picked up our supper at the Michigan Diner before heading home. When I got out of the Truck the sound of distant Thunder could be heard.

When I arrived at our building the Thunder was no longer distant and there were more Drops coming down. I still walked in the Apartment dryer that when I left work. By the time we sat down to eat the Rain was coming down in earnest.

Even with another wet day forecasted, I can enjoy it at home with Kathy.
