After settling in for a good night’s sleep, my Hip/Leg decided otherwise. Even taking an additional dosage of Tylenol did not ease the Pain. I finally got up and applied the Brace that I bought while in Newmarket. Just like the very first time I put it on, the Pain just faded away. At least I got Two Hours sleep.
The first thing everyone asked when they saw me at work was “Where’s the Truck?” before asking how Kathy was doing. (Priorities?)
As I was about to start cleaning the PTA area, a Twenty-Three Foot Feedscrew that the CNC Machinists had an Oops on, arrived at the Inspector’s Bench. Not the same as the last time but close. I started welding on it with the TIG, before 8:00 this morning, and still have about Four More Hours of welding tomorrow. Most of the Machinist would just shake their heads, smile and mouth the word “More” to me. When I get done welding, nobody will be saying that four letter word.
I was home shortly after 4:00 and watched as the Brown Water ran down the drain in the shower.
We were out the door around 4:30 and arrived at Windsor Gas and Diesel at 5:00. The Truck was ready on Friday, but Jim had not written up the bill yet. He just said take it and come back this week. it’s a good thing to be Trusted.
I was early when we arrived at the Canadian Blood Services building, where I would make my 142nd Blood Donation, but it was Bittersweet. The doors to this building will be closed on July 28th permanently. Hospitals have now decided to use Plasma rather than Whole Blood, for a host of reasons. It has been Twenty-Five Years since I started and had hoped to continue for years to come. Most of the attendants that were there when I started are calling it quits.
What
the Blood
Services
will do is to open a Plasma
Center
at one of the area
Shopping
Centers.
It will take longer to make the Donation,
but you can contribute Weekly.
I’ll try to donate when I can, where
I can,
but it won’t be Weekly.
We picked up the Truck before heading to Wendy’s to enjoy their Salads for supper.
Kathy would like to Thank Everyone for all the words of encouragement from our Readers. Now she just has to follow the Doctor’s Orders.
Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment, unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion, or is Spam.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

The trouble ain’t too many fools, but that the lightning ain’t distributed right.
Mark Twain, American Writer
betcha one of these days they will be looking for whole blood again, but by then maybe it will be too late. The medicos, especially with socialist medicine in Canada. don't know their a** from a hole in the ground. Pretty much the same here in the US any more.
ReplyDeleteI am NOT surprised that your coworkers asked about your truck before inquiring about Kathy...because a majority (not all) men have their vehicles on their minds.
ReplyDeleteYou got Kathy taken care of, now I hope they can take care of your hip/leg pain.
