Cranky Mile.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Another day in Wonderland (the Plant) and there were already Feedscrews waiting for touch-ups on the Inspection Bench. I barely had started the one when Mile wanted the other one first. Back on the first and another more pressing touch-up showed up.

I mentioned welding a Screw on Friday using the tougher Hard Surfacing Material that everyone hates working on. Even though it looked perfectly fine to me, Mile said it had Undercut that I had to fix. (It took a Magnifying Glass to see what the Engineer said was outside the Flight.)

It was already Hot inside the building before I started the Burners but when Mile started screaming at me for another businessman, down the road not being at his shop, then my having to repair the Machinists Oops, I knew what the problem was. (Mile has Shingles, and when they bother him, he Cranky with everyone.)

Since there was already a base weld on this unit, it only needed to be heated to Five Hundred Degrees. I had just enough time to replace the Orifice on the Torch before starting. The “Begin to Weld” button was not pushed until 11:00, but the Feedscrew was in the Sandbox by 2:30.

It felt good to be home at a decent time. Even though I had briefed Kathy about the job at lunchtime, it was nice to be with her in person.

We were about to share a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Spinach Pizza, when we started hearing the rumbles of Thunder. Before we could sit at the table the Rain was coming down in torrents. According to the Weather Guessers we can expect this kind of weather for the rest of the week.
