Teetering Temps and Hallmark Movies.

It is really strange how neither of us took anything to help us sleep last night yet we slept like a couple of rocks. Other nights we can’t even sleep with help.

I woke just before 8:00 this morning but by the time I got things ready for breakfast and turned on the Computers it was nearly 8:30. It was at that time it appeared like a fog was moving towards the building but within a moment I knew better as White Flakes started floating by the Balcony Door.

With our high being just after midnight
this was our daytime temperatures.

Hearing movement in the bedroom I scrambled for the kitchen to start the Toaster then the Water Kettle. I mentioned in the Blog how Bagels don’t set well with me. Kathy barely sat at the table when I started applying Cream Cheese to her Bagel and Margarine with Berry Jam to my Toast.

Like many others we are spending way too much time on the Computers but with our area being pushed back to Phase 2 Recovery or as they are now coding us as a Red Zone there’s not much we can do outside of our Apartment. In some of the Comments about the spiking Coronavirus Cases in our area the people infected have admitted to not wearing Masks in public, have gathered in larger groups with no Social Distancing. The Comments may be correct in their areas but not in ours.

For lunch I chopped some Celery and Broccoli to add to an Omelette along with some Shredded Cheese served with Toast. We shared a Baked (Nuked) Apple for dessert. Kathy thought we’d need a Yogurt Cup but they were sent back to the Fridge.

The afternoon was again spent back on the Computers. Looking outside everything was again green from the Rain the milder temperatures brought in. With so little activity we had Macaroni and Cheese for supper along with the Yogurt Cups left from lunch.

We watched more Hallmark Christmas Movies tonight.

The Weather Guessers are showing we are only looking at a Two to Three Inch accumulation over the next Thirty Hours which is a dusting compared to most of Ontario. Looking outside all vehicles in the parking lot are turning White.

Slept Better, Some Stretching and Hallmark Movies.

Things seemed to work better last night by simply taking a Melatonin Tablet before going to bed. The strange part is what works one time might not work the next. I did wake a few times as I rolled over but managed to sleep most of the night.

Recent Rain caused a focal problem.

Being up by 7:00 I simply took my time getting things ready to start our day. It wasn’t until I opened the Balcony Blinds that the Sun started making its appearance. Next I set things up for breakfast before heading to the Computers. I always turn them both on so there’s no startup delay for Kathy.

Again I struggled to stay awake while reading. Just wish I had the same problem when I’m supposed to be sleeping in bed.

Since Kathy had taken one of the Prescription Tablets from the Hospital last night after 9:00 this morning I cracked open the Bedroom Blinds. When that didn’t work I started the Water Kettle while I filled our Cereal Bowls. As soon as the switch popped because the Kettle had boiled Kathy practically jumped out of bed like an Alarm had gone off.

We spent the morning doing chores and reading completed. For lunch Kathy made some Perogies to go along with a couple of Cookies and Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Even with a forecasted high of 48 F (9 C) with the moderate wind blowing Kathy just didn’t feel like going out even for a simple walk. Knowing inaction was not doing me any good I did some stretching exercises that seemed to help. After not working out for over a week I didn’t want to overdo it.

I cooked up the Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls along with the Vegetable Fried Rice that we get in the Freezer Section at the grocery store for our supper served with our Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine). I also made the Yogurt covered Grapes that we both seem to enjoy.

The only thing talked about on the 6 o’clock Local News was the Coronavirus. Even though the Local Health Unit realizes we are all getting tired of hearing about the Virus but the sooner we all stick with the Guidelines the sooner we’ll be able to defeat this Invisible Enemy.

We watched a couple of Hallmark Christmas Movies this evening. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Sleepless Again and Hallmark Movies.

After getting back into a more normal routine now that Kathy is back home I was surprised to find things were far from routine. Feeling a little achy from lack of exercise I cheated last night by taking a Tylenol Night-Time for Body Pains. It surprised me when I was staring at the ceiling by 1:00 in the morning. That Tylenol should have done the trick but it wasn’t working.

After tossing and turning for the next Hour I finally just got up because I was only creating more discomfort for myself and disturbing Kathy’s sleep. The first thing I did was to take an Extra Strength Tylenol before sitting down at my Computer. It was after 4:00 when I realized the time and went back to bed.

It was 7:30 when I headed back to the Computer. It’s amazing that I have trouble sleeping in bed but my eyes keep trying to close on me while sitting at the keyboard.

It was 9:30 when Kathy joined me for breakfast. She had asked for Toasted Bagels with Cream Cheese so that’s what we had. I’ll have cereal next time as Bagels always make me feel like I’ve eaten a brick.

For our late lunch we had French Toast with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Even with the Sun shining brightly because the Wind was rattling the Balcony Rail neither of us felt like going out.

Watching the 6 o’clock Local News they again confirmed that the Provincial Government has put our area back to a Stage Two Coronavirus Recovery with Mandatory Mask Wearing and No Indoor Dining or Bars allowed. If you look around the world the numbers are spiking but the ones in our area area due to Students not following Guidelines.

For supper we had a Medium Store Bought Parisian Pizza. Later I again made the Yogurt Covered Grapes as a dessert.

We watched Two Hallmark Christmas Movies tonight. Hopefully I’ll actually sleep in bed tonight. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

No Sun, Fixing Account and A White Forecast.

The first night Kathy was home from the Hospital she figured an Extra Strength Tylenol would be strong enough to make it through the night. Yesterday she noted that the medication she had been given at the Hospital had finally wore off. Last night she took one of the Prescribed Pills we picked up at the drugstore. She is starting to feel the Aches returning this evening so she’ll be taking another of those tonight.

I had a fair amount of my morning reading completed before Kathy joined me this morning. Being that the Sun was hiding behind the Clouds she thought it was still night-time.

When lunch rolled around we had Campbell’s Italian Wedding Soup along with a Cheese Stick. Thinking Kathy wanted dessert I recreated the Yogurt covered Grapes. The again were a tasty treat.

More time was spent on the phone trying to straighten one of our accounts this afternoon. It seems that when there is nothing wrong with it some companies can’t except that and start making changes.

On the 6 o’clock Local News we were informed that due to our rising Coronavirus Cases the Provincial Government is rolling us back to a Stage 2 Recovery. That will close all dine-in Restaurants and Bars. The sad part is that most of the Cases are Students that were forced back into the Classrooms back in September. On the weather front things could start turning a little White starting Sunday Evening.

Kathy was hungry and already started eating.

For supper I made Kathy her Chocolate Chip Pancake while I had mine plain with Butter. When they are that big you only need One. Kathy could not finish her’s.

Since we might see the Sun tomorrow we’ll try to get out for some fresh air. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Thank You For Kathy’s Comments and Appointments Made.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Why is it when you really don’t have to get up early you do? I was up by 7:00 so by the time I opened the Balcony Blinds Kathy was getting up to join me. When her eyes finally started to focus she was wondering why it was so dark in the Apartment since I hadn’t turned any lights on yet.

Our Muffins for breakfast were delicious. With our Hot Drinks at the Computers Kathy needed a blanket on her legs to keep warm as she was starting to feel the low setting on the heat. That is totally unlike her.

Kathy would like to Thank everyone for the words of encouragement and concern. The big learning curve is to learn to sneeze as if she were a child through her mouth so as not to open the wound for the time being.

It was minutes after 9:00 when I called to book her Follow Up Appointment with the Surgeon but could only leave a message. It was closer to 11:00 when the Receptionist called back with her appointment scheduled for the 8th.

Knowing she wasn’t very hungry but still needed to heal we had Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch with a Yogurt Cup for our dessert.

Another call was made to change our appointed Haircut times with Julia. They were made before the Surgery was scheduled.

Still feeling the affects of the surgery Kathy’s eyes closed while she attempted to read on the Computer.

I busied myself by cleaning the Dishestaking out the trash and recycle. The issue I had with the laxed muscle the other day was still haunting me so my workout was again post-phoned.

It felt good sitting in silence without the hype coming from the Television. I Finally got caught up on all our Blog Reading before it was time to make supper. Kathy wanted Open-Faced Grilled Cheese Sandwiches garnished with Olives. As she sipped on her Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows I prepped and served Yogurt Covered Grapes for dessert.

On the 6 o’clock Local News some Ontarians are protesting against the Mandatory Mask B-law as a way of helping to stop the spread of the Virus. Masks do protect both the wearer and others around but people just think it’s a control mechanism and the Virus is all “Fake News”. Tell that to the Families of all those who died from the Coronavirus. They say the numbers are inflated because the person had Underlying Health or a Compromised Immune System but that’s what helps the Virus find its next victim. Even healthy people are coming down with it because they are not following the Guidelines.

Kathy and I hope that all our American Readers, Friends and Family had a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully next year we’ll be able to get together with all our families.

We did watch one Hallmark Christmas Movie tonight. Kathy went to bed at 10:00 tonight.

Kathy's Home and Happy Thanksgiving.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After posting last night’s Blog it was hard going to bed without Kathy being there but I was finally able to fall to sleep around 4:00 by repeating to myself She’ll be home in the morning”. The phone rang around 7:50 with a jubilant Kathy saying she was free to go when I got there. Then she told me to have something to eat and take time to wake up before getting behind the wheel.

Taking my time I arrived at the Hospital before 9:00 only to have to go through the screening Maze again. The Computers again denied that Kathy was a Patient even though I told her the exact room that I visited with her last night. Finally calling the Eight-North Desk they confirmed Kathy’s presence before I was given a pass to the next check point. A quick glance at the paper and I was on my way to the elevators.

When I walked into her room Kathy was napping while waiting for me to appear. I never made a sound but she opened her eyes sensing my presence. She’d already packed everything to go before hand so she only needed to put her Shoes and Coat on.

It was nearly 10:00 when we rolled out of the parking lot. We took Tecumseh Road all the way to the Parkway just so she could see human life taking place outside of our four walls.

Having a Prescription to fill and not wanting to drive all the way to Amherstburg we stopped at a nearby Shoppers Drug Mart. Imagine the Red Tape because these are on the list of Addictive Medications because the others won’t do the job and the fact that this location is not her normal Pharmacy. The Prescription was filled in Ten Minutes. The Consult that explained the benefits and dangers of this Medication lasted Five Minutes. I also left the store with a small booklet again giving the same information. Kathy had been having a Snap while I was inside.

When we got to the building Kathy wanted to walk so I parked the Car to add a few more feet to the distance.

Inside the Apartment after finding her Slippers it didn’t take long to find her Recliner. We enjoyed a hot Coffee together while she described this morning’s visit from the Surgeon. She had another Snap before lunch while I left a message to make a Follow Up Appointment for Kathy.

Campbell’s Italian Wedding Soup was the pick of the day with a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

This afternoon there was a constant Drizzle falling that occasionally changed to a solid Rain causing us a chill because of the Dampness. That meant we had a continuous flow of hot drinks the entire day.

Back at the Computers I managed to finish catching up on the last Two Days of Blogs by only taking the time to comment on a few.

Karen called to see if Kathy was home around 2:00.

I tried making a call using my Cell Phone rather then our House Phone and each time after being on hold for Ten Minutes I was disconnected.

It was just after 3:00 when the Surgeon’s Office called with Kathy’s Follow-Up Appointment.

For supper Kathy wasn’t feeling too hungry so we had Macaroni and Cheese followed by a Chocolate Pudding Cup.

The 6 o’clock Local News held most of the same news that we’ve been hearing for the last Six Months.

By 7:30 Kathy wanted to lay in bed to watch the US News Media. By 8:00 she said Good Night put her CPAP Mask on and went to sleep.

Even though this year is a lot different with things happening outside of our control Kathy and I would like to wish all our American Readers, Family and Friends a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Hopefully next year things will be back to a more normal with the soon to be released Vaccines.
