The
Wind finally died down enough overnight that we were
able to get a decent night’s sleep. With nothing Planned
I was up by 8:00 this morning getting things ready to start our day.
Kathy needed a little more time in bed so I had lots of my reading
completed before she joined me.
I wasn’t surprised to see all kind of pictures in our local online paper the Windsor Star of damage that had been done by yesterday’s high Winds that affected most of the province of Ontario. Later in the day Karen from the blog Living In My Valley would leave a comment stating that they were Record Setting Winds that registered on the Seismic Meters.
With the morning chores completed I made French Toast for lunch and Kathy brought out Yogurt Cups for our dessert.
Bundling up against the 37 F (3 C) temperature we straightened the mess on our Balcony. Kathy retied the covers on our Trees while I replaced the old Bike Cover with a new one and retied the Tandem Bicycle to the Balcony Rail.
Checking our Voice Mail that we haven’t checked for a couple of days we were told there was a message waiting but no matter what we did could not retrieve it. Finally getting hold of Tech-Support he tried a number of things to finally get it to work but he wiped out the Message that someone had left for us. Since Kathy is only a week away from her Surgery we’ll try to get hold of the Surgeon’s Office ourselves.
For supper Kathy made Macaroni and Cheese to go with the Leftover Biscuits from yesterday along with Cookies for dessert.
The 6 o’clock Local News showed more localized damage from the Wind including Flooding and Shoreline Erosion. They talked about rising Coronavirus Cases among Students and Migrant Workers with the possibility of restrictions being reimposed soon. After a few more cold days with Flurries we could see temperatures that are normal for this time of year.
We later watched another Hallmark Christmas Movie. Tomorrow we’ve got more things to get straightened around. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
