As mentioned in last night’s Blog Kathy had a cup of Sleepy Time Tea before going to bed and it worked like a charm helping her to sleep soundly until morning. Due to another issue I chose not to do the same. I didn’t take long to fall asleep but was wide awake by 3:00. I finally got up and took a Tylenol Night Time Tablet shortly after 4:00. Still unable to drift off I returned to the Computer until after 6:00. We were both awake just before 9:00 to another Cloud covered sky and temperatures just above the Freezing Mark.
Many of our readers can relate to those types of Sleepless or Sleep Deprived nights. We’ve also mentioned how we both have Sleep Apnea and one of the Side Effects is Insomnia. Go Figure. We’ll try something different tonight.

After spending most of the morning on the Computers we were surprised when our friend Vera called. She has only gone out for Doctors Appointments but has remained inside the rest of the week.
We made Chicken Noodle Soup with a Dinner Roll as a side for lunch along with a half an Apple and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Once the Dishes were cleaned up we again started working together making tonight’s supper. I was busy cutting up Celery, Onions and the Leftover Sweet Peppers nice and fine. Kathy also had me pealing and cubing a Yukon Gold Potato while she was getting her cookware ready.

I was then dismissed from the kitchen while Kathy started sauteing all the Vegetables in one skillet while browning Ground Beef in the other. When that was finished she made a Pie Crust that she then filled with the blended Meat and Vegetables. Soon everything was put in the Oven and we relaxed at the Computers.
Even though Kathy had the Balcony Door open for fresh air the heat of the Oven kept us toasty. By 3:30 the Aroma of that Homemade Meat Pie had filled the Apartment. Kathy quickly sauteed some Asparagus for a side. It tasted heavenly.

After getting the kitchen and Dishes cleaned up we watched the 6 o’clock Local News and were surprised at how the numbers of Coronavirus Cases had again shot up. After we got back on the Computers Kathy read a message from our friend Kathie that her Niece’s Husband in his Forties had just succumbed to the Virus. From the time he went to the Doctor to the time he passed was less then Twelve Hours.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll be practicing Social Distancing even if we do go out. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Restless Night, Deserted Streets and Good Fuel Prices.

Kathy struggled to fall asleep last night because she just couldn’t stop thinking of things she wanted to do but with all this Self Isolating they won’t be happening anytime soon. She didn’t fall to sleep until after 3:00. I didn’t have trouble falling to sleep but lay awake for nearly Hour before again sleeping until morning.
It seems to be getting more difficult getting out of bed early without a good reason so it was after 8:30 when we both stumbled into the dining room. There was no Wind compared to yesterday but the Sun would stay hidden behind the Clouds for the remainder of the day. The few people that were out walking the Trail were again bundled up wearing Coats, Hats and Gloves.
Deciding on a later lunch we indulged ourselves with Perogies with a Garden Salad then topped it off with Clementine Oranges, a couple of Cookies and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Due to inactivity Kathy could not make it through the afternoon without an extended Snap. I just focused on the Computer and kept awake.

We were watching the 6 o’clock Local News when they announced that the number of Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in our region had again doubled overnight. Then they showed the Fuel prices had again gone lower.
As soon as the News was over we headed out with the Truck. It’s been over a week since it has moved so this would give it some exercise and we could top off the Fuel. Since we were so close we first drove to Guardian Storage. Using the Remote Gate Opener we checked the Trailer first to be sure it was okay before going to the office and checking for our Mail.

Our next stop was the Pioneer gas station. It was nearly deserted but for $.889 a Litre we still topped up the tank.

On the way back to the Apartment Kathy said she’s never seen these streets so empty not even on Christmas Day.

We are hoping to spend time at our Storage Unit tomorrow so Kathy’s having a cup of Sleepy-Time Tea before going to bed. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Windy Leftover Day.

Even though there was the sound of Thunder in the distance Kathy went to bed before I got off my Computer last night. We both slept past 8:00 this morning and felt quite refreshed when we got up.
Looking out the Balcony Door it was nice to see patches of Blue Sky showing behind the Puffy White Clouds. That should have been a warning to us but we were busy enjoying our morning Coffees at the Computers when we started hearing the Wind picking up.
This morning''s temperature.
The temperature had risen above the forecasted high and it was only mid-morning. When I looked out I saw our Three Legged Bistro Table with its Glass Top was balancing on Two Legs. In just a few short minutes the Wind had again increased. I went outside and turned the Table upside down against the divider rail so the Wind couldn’t damage it but left the chairs at the west end of the Balcony.
The Temperature and Wind increased.
Quite a change in a Half Hour.
For lunch Kathy said we were having Leftovers. She made Toasted Bacon and Leftover Tomato Sandwiches. She also put together a dessert plate of Clementine Oranges, Yogurt Cups and the Leftover Naomi Squares. Good way to clean out the Fridge.
The Wind seemed to increase and when we looked out found that the Chairs had moved from the West end of our Balcony to the other. With Kathy’s fear of High Winds she decided against going for a ride.
Temperature dropped but Wind Gusts increased
Five Hours later.
We were back at the Computers for a short while when Kathy wanted to see what was on the Television. Not much happening so we turned on coverage about the Coronavirus. I hadn’t exercised since the beginning of the week so I put on my exercise clothes and started working out while listening to the Television. Just those few days I didn’t exercise made a big difference. We had the Balcony Door ajar but I was still sweating. After an Hour I needed a shower.
When Kathy made supper she served the Leftover Pepper Steak on Leftover Spaghetti Noodles. She had Dinner Rolls as a side then Yogurt Cups on the Leftover Frozen Berries. Everything tasted wonderful and we were well satisfied.

Watching the 6 o’clock Local News they showed the confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in our region had doubled overnight. Looks like we’ll be wearing Masks on our next outings. The weather guessers showed the Winds as well as the Temperatures would diminish throughout the night.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll try to do something. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Well Rested, Spring Weather and Tasty Meals.

We must have both been worn out from getting up early yesterday because we were in bed minutes after 11:00 last night. As usual we always hold hands until we are about to doze off to sleep then we normally turn on our sides. The reason for doing that is we don’t have as many Apneas while sleeping on our sides. When I woke exactly Nine Hours later we were still holding hands and we were both still on our backs.
Taken before breakfast.
Looking out the Balcony Door there was a slight Fog in the air due to the Rain that had fallen overnight. Kathy joined me for breakfast just before 9:00 because she needs more sleep then most. We’d spend most of the morning on the Computers reading Blogs, watching the Weather and catching up on the world News around us.
Since we weren’t too active we chose to recreate a Garden Salad for lunch by adding a small can of Salmon to give it protein. Of course we added extra calories by having a Clementine Orange, with a Naomi Square and Yogurt Cup for dessert.
Taken after lunch.
Looking out the Balcony Door the Fog seemed to be getting thicker. With 50 F (10 C) temperatures and 97% Humidity there was no doubt that would happen.

Just since yesterday the number of Coronavirus cases in our area has doubled. Since our son also has a Compromised Immune System due to Medical Infusions that he needs to survive we’ll be putting our visits off until this blows over. This would not be something we want to bring to him.
For supper we again had the Pepper Steak that we made yesterday but on a bed of Rice instead of Egg Noodles. It has a slightly different texture but is just as satisfying because the flavours melded together overnight.
Taken after supper.
We finished the evening watching a Hallmark Movie. Even though the Weather Guessers are forecasting more Rain through tomorrow we are hoping to get out even for a short drive. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
