As mentioned in last night’s Blog Kathy had a cup of Sleepy Time Tea before going to bed and it worked like a charm helping her to sleep soundly until morning. Due to another issue I chose not to do the same. I didn’t take long to fall asleep but was wide awake by 3:00. I finally got up and took a Tylenol Night Time Tablet shortly after 4:00. Still unable to drift off I returned to the Computer until after 6:00. We were both awake just before 9:00 to another Cloud covered sky and temperatures just above the Freezing Mark.
Many of our readers can relate to those types of Sleepless or Sleep Deprived nights. We’ve also mentioned how we both have Sleep Apnea and one of the Side Effects is Insomnia. Go Figure. We’ll try something different tonight.

After spending most of the morning on the Computers we were surprised when our friend Vera called. She has only gone out for Doctors Appointments but has remained inside the rest of the week.
We made Chicken Noodle Soup with a Dinner Roll as a side for lunch along with a half an Apple and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Once the Dishes were cleaned up we again started working together making tonight’s supper. I was busy cutting up Celery, Onions and the Leftover Sweet Peppers nice and fine. Kathy also had me pealing and cubing a Yukon Gold Potato while she was getting her cookware ready.

I was then dismissed from the kitchen while Kathy started sauteing all the Vegetables in one skillet while browning Ground Beef in the other. When that was finished she made a Pie Crust that she then filled with the blended Meat and Vegetables. Soon everything was put in the Oven and we relaxed at the Computers.
Even though Kathy had the Balcony Door open for fresh air the heat of the Oven kept us toasty. By 3:30 the Aroma of that Homemade Meat Pie had filled the Apartment. Kathy quickly sauteed some Asparagus for a side. It tasted heavenly.

After getting the kitchen and Dishes cleaned up we watched the 6 o’clock Local News and were surprised at how the numbers of Coronavirus Cases had again shot up. After we got back on the Computers Kathy read a message from our friend Kathie that her Niece’s Husband in his Forties had just succumbed to the Virus. From the time he went to the Doctor to the time he passed was less then Twelve Hours.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow but we’ll be practicing Social Distancing even if we do go out. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  2. I am being really careful about the 6 feet because with my Nam hearing I tend to get close to hear better.

  3. My condolences to your friend on the passing of her niece's husband. It just goes to show that you do not have to be elderly to succumb to this disease.

    Delicious looking dinner.

  10. I am so sorry to hear about this death due to the Covid 19 virus. The deaths seem almost an abstract concept until it hits close to home.
I saw people here today with no masks, no gloves, no distancing. I did not see one person wearing a mask. The ignorance of people is astounding.
Have you tried Melatonin for your sleep problems? Takes a few days to begin working and then you will wonder how you ever did without it. I take 3mg every evening at 7 and sleep well.
