We
were both in bed by midnight last night so I was feeling well rested
when I got up and had things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me
at 8:00. As soon as we looked outside it was no surprise to see all
the SXXW piles had disappeared overnight.

In
response to a Comment about our tracking our expenditures on a
Spreadsheet I started my own version on Microsoft
Excel years ago and it worked so well that our daughter
and daughter-in-law had me make them each one. It’s not difficult
to do and everyone can make it to suit their own needs. If you forget
something at first it’s easy to adjust it later. When I lost my
Hard-Drive I also lost my Microsoft
Office but was able to use
the FREE Libre Office
which took some getting used to but can work just the way I wanted.
If you feel you haven’t got what it takes to make your own
Spreadsheet to monitor your budget the program “Quicken”
might do the trick for you though I’m not sure how much it costs.
Another
Comment said we have a lot of trouble with our Bank.
This recent problem was with a Credit Card
Company that their Security Computer sensed
a “Suspicious Activity” had
just taken place. The time and date we were given by Amy yesterday
occurred just after we had paid for our meal at East
Side Mario’s over a week ago. With today’s technology
my Credit Card never left my hand and I used the
Tap to pay the bill. Personally I think they need to adjust
the sensitivity of their Security Computer.
The
last Comment was about the Redneck Jokes. I don’t
make these up and I have a lot but not enough to post them every day
so I mix in other Jokes with them to stretch them out.
For
lunch we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Cookies,
Yogurt Cups and a Half an Apple for dessert topped off
with a cup of Tea. We had plenty of running around planned for
this afternoon so we knew that we would burn off the extra calories.
When
we headed out the door it felt quite comfortable at 48 F (9
C) but as we walked past the end of the building into the parking
lot we were hit by 43 MPH Wind Gusts from the West.
That had us doing up our coats really quick.
Our
first stop was VitalAire where we
returned a Loaner Mask that Kathy could not use. We also had
to question a bill for an Unknown Charge
that we were told to appeal with our Medical Carrier.
Leaving
there we went to Guardian Storage
to pick up our Mail. Since we are expecting Forms that
we need to get our Income Taxes Filed we will be checking the
Mail more often.
We
had planned on using the Service Road
to go to our next stop but with Traffic backing up due to a
Train that was actually stopped across Two Roads we
headed back to Central Avenue and
used the Expressway. As we were
passing Jefferson Avenue
we saw the Train had finally moved on and the Crossing
Gates were just going up.
We
stopped at Green Shield to
question why One of the products that they had covered in the
past was suddenly not being paid for. After some checking on the
Computer we were told that they should not have paid for it
the first time. The kicker is they waited Ten Months to notify
us.
We
headed over to Zehr’s grocery
store where we walked out with our grocery bags loaded and our wallet
lighter. Kathy was going to get some Pecans but with the high
price in the grocery store we went next door to the Bulk
Barn only to walk out with a
larger amount of Pecans at half the price Zehr’s
was charging.
Back
at the Apartment we worked
together putting things away. It was past 5:00 by then so Kathy
decided to cook up a different Tourtiere to try. It was okay
but not as flavourful as the last one we had gotten so we won’t be
buying it again.
After
watching the 6
o’clock Local News
Kathy wanted to watch the Television
but
I was starting to ache so with her permission I headed off to Planet
Fitness
to exercise. I got back to the Apartment
just
before 10:30 feeling so much better. Not sure what we’ll be up to
tomorrow. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.

It's nice you have more than one store to purchase things. Around here, it's such a long drive to the next store, it's never worth it.
ReplyDeleteYou got a lot done for an afternoon! Nice you got the pecans at such a better price.
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting on your spreadsheets. I used to know how to use Excel and make formulas but that was a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI have an old version of Microsoft Office but they are disks and my current desktop computer no long has a disk drive.
Wow, you got a lot of exercise in last night! Thumbs up!
Meant to say "no LONGER has a disk drive".
