Research and Trying To Make Calls.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Once again we both slept soundly last night by staying under the blankets because of the low temperatures outside. When I opened the Balcony Blinds just before 8:00 frost still covered all the vehicles in the parking lot. I managed to get things ready for breakfast but had barely turned the Computers on when Kathy joined me at the table. We had an Irish Muffin for protein and finished our Coffee/Tea at our desks.
Frosty Windows
With little on the agenda for the day after spending time reading on the Computers we had to search through the Storage Room. Kathy had done a wonderful job of organizing the front of the shelves but she could not find her disposable wipes that had gotten buried on the back of the lower bottom shelves. Once they were located we had to do a bit more reorganizing.
Wanting something different for lunch Kathy made Grilled Bacon and Cheese Sandwiches garnished with Olives that were topped off by the last of the Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie for dessert.
After working together to clean the Dishes we returned to the Computers to do some research. It was a bit too much for Kathy who needed a Snap to keep going.
I tried repeatedly calling my sister Anna in London with no success because the phone system kept saying the number was incorrect. Strange how it worked fine the last Twenty Times that I tried.
I spoke with my cousin Jackie inquiring about how her mom was doing. I have tried to reach her a few times lately as well as today without any luck which had me concerned. I was told to wait until after 7:30 to give her a call.
Since we weren’t very active supper was simply Baked Beans on Toast. We watched the 6 o’clock Local News.

I was then able to talk with my aunt Anna and she assured me she was doing well but that the Nursing Home wasn’t allowing any visitors in nor any residents to go out as a way of protecting them from the Virus. For being Eighty she’s doing well.

After making another attempt to call my sister we watched Nancy Drew as well as Outlander before calling it a night.

I’ll be making Phone Calls tomorrow to see if our Doctor’s Appointments are still on or if they have been rescheduled. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. I started following your blog recently, but this is my first comment. The bacon and cheese grilled sandwich sounds wonderful. It always amazing me when I see something as simple as this, with two of my favorite things, but I have never thought of it myself. I guess I'm not very inventive.
I've been wondering about follow up medical appointments myself as we are only a few weeks from a few we have scheduled. It will be interesting to see how that goes.
I recently had to use TelADoc, a service with my insurance. The first call I had a response within an hour (about 10 days ago). I needed a refill (about 4 days ago). It took almost 24 hours before I received a call back due to the change in the CV-19 in those 6 days. Hopefully things will return to normal in the near future.

  5. It's definitely slowing down and I'm hoping will be almost gone soon so things can get back to normal.

  6. You reminded me to check my April appointments to see what's happening. May have to cancel a few if I don't head home soon. I like the grilled cheese for lunch idea. I'll have to give it a Try on my skillet.
