I’ve mentioned before that exercising muscles is less painful then when you are not working out. Having donated Blood this past Monday I had intended on going back to the Gym by Thursday morning so the vein could properly heal. Then the severe Pain in my Hip caused another setback for me but last night I was experiencing so much discomfort not associated with my Hip that I knew what I needed to do.

After having a fairly restless night I waited until 6:00 this morning to start my day. When I got to Planet Fitness there were less people there then normal but I didn’t rush. I did start with some Cardio Exercise but set it at half the intensity and for only Five Minutes. Even with the Free Weights some of my normal routine that would affect the legs were left out. In less then an Hour I hadn’t even worked up a sweat but my Hip was telling me it was time to leave.

The Sunshine this morning.

Kathy was surprised to see me walk in to the Apartment just after 8:00. We had different snacks that we called breakfast before heading over to our Computers.

Being that it was Saturday the Electric Jackhammers didn’t start until 9:00. Even though we kept the Window and Balcony Door closed because of the noise it felt cold inside. Kathy needed to put on a sweatshirt to keep warm and ended up having a Snap in the process. She did appreciate the Birthday Wishes she received in the Comment section of our Blog.

To warm up but eat lite we had Baked Beans on Toast along with the Leftover Pineapple for dessert.

We just finished eating at 1:30 when the Jackhammers suddenly went silent. At first we thought they had simply stopped for lunch but were not disappointed when they didn’t return. We enjoyed the rest of the afternoon reading on our Computers without the noise. I would review Hundreds of Job Ads today but only submitted a single application later this afternoon.

For supper we had the Leftover Stir-Fry along with Salmon Fillets. We enjoyed Double Chocolate Muffins with Yogurt Cups for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News was delayed by the Mexican PGA Tournament by Twenty Minutes. When it came on they only reported on the upcoming Provincial Election without mentioning anything about the Coronavirus.

The Clouds this afternoon.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 63 F (17 C) this afternoon with East Winds gusting to 31 MPH at the time.

Tomorrow we have an invitation out for lunch that we’ll be attending. Tell you about it then.

Got the Picture and Birthday Celebration.

I managed to get myself out of bed by 7:00 this morning so I could get a shower before breakfast. That along with a shave worked out perfectly for timing because as I opened the door Kathy was just coming out of the bedroom. The Electric Jackhammers down in the parking lot had once again woke her up by 7:30. The Contractor has been warned that there is a Noise Bylaw but either he or his crew are ignoring it.

It felt good holding her in my arms and wishing her a Happy Birthday. We kept breakfast lite but special with Juice, a Double Chocolate Muffin and a Coffee.

We did some reading before heading out the door by 9:30. There was plenty of traffic all the way to Clear Imaging Laboratories but it flowed easily. Since I was given instructions to arrive Fifteen Minutes early figuring there was paperwork we were there earlier. Kathy stayed in the Car reading. After getting registered I must have sat for at least a Minute before being called in. Even though the Doctor at the Walk-In Clinic had checked me for a Hernia that is what he wanted the Technician to check for. An Ultra Sound is able to see what the Mind’s Eye sometimes can’t. Results won’t be available until the middle of next week.

We were on our way right on time for my scheduled appointment so we planned to run some errands. The first was at Guardian Storage where the first thing we did was to put things into our Storage Unit that were taking space in the back of the Car. By doing so we were also able to reclaim our back seat. On the way out we stopped at the Office and retrieved our Mail.

Next we stopped at Motor City Community Credit Union to do a little banking so Kathy will have the money needed for when Mary from Healthy Heals comes for her next treatment.

Not wanting to dirty dishes at home we stopped at Wendy’s for an early lunch. Using a Coupon we both enjoyed a Dave’s Single Cheeseburger Meal along with a Small Chocolate Frosty.

Back at our building we managed to snag the same parking spot we’d had last night. Even though a lot of tenants had left for work there were a large number of Contractor’s Vehicles taking up many of the empty spaces.

Another 12 Feet of parking.

We were surprised when the noise from the Jackhammers suddenly stopped around 1:00. Looking down from our Apartment we noted that the paving debris had also been cleared away. It was so quiet that Kathy had a quick Snap to make up for the early hours she’s been having to get up.

Reshaping the back lot.

Once again we were out the door around 4:00. Noticing the Contractors had been moving Safety Fences around we were surprised to see the Entrance Driveway had already been completed. It had been widened and a new Sidewalk poured. We were even more surprised when we drove past it on the road to see Vehicles already parked where the Visitors would be parked.

Signs of Spring.

We picked our Dear Friend Vera up at her Condo and headed off to have supper. She has been keeping herself closed away from being in public since the start of the Coronavirus Shutdowns because of her Compromised Immune System. She is battling Cancer.

We went to one of our favourite places to eat the Michigan Diner on Tecumseh Road. One of the reasons we like it is because between 3:00 and 6:00 you can order off the Senior’s Menu. Not only are the prices lower but the portions of the meals are the perfect size that we seldom have Leftovers to take home. We enjoyed talking while waiting for our meals as well as while we ate. Vera treated us for our Birthdays.

At least 6 Feet wider.

Instead of taking her straight back to her place we brought her to our building. Seeing the new Front Driveway and the Parking Lot that was half torn apart she understood why we didn’t want her coming over for the time being.

We only missed a couple minutes of the 6 o’clock Local News. They reported 29 Active Coronavirus Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region along with 2 more Coronavirus Deaths in Area Retirement Homes. They also spoke more about the upcoming Provincial Election.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 55 F (13 C) with clear sunny skies. The temperatures are becoming more seasonal but so are the Showers.

Quiet Recovery.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After taking a single Extra Strength Tylenol before going to bed I was surprise how well I slept. When we got up to the sound of Electric Jackhammers in the parking lot my Hip was hardly bothering me.

The Sun was a welcoming sight when we opened the Balcony Blinds but by touching the door itself you knew it wasn’t very warm. After having Cereal for breakfast a quick check or The Weather Network showed we were sitting right at the Freezing Mark.

The only Job Ads that were being sent to me were those that would require our moving to the northern part of the province or that I would be doing Fly-in Fly-out Jobs for the Mining Industry while leaving Kathy back here. None of those options were appealing to me so I didn’t even mention them to Kathy.

We took advantage of a slow morning to soak our feet in the Epson Salts Bath. As I’ve mentioned before not only does it make our feet feel better but it helps us to relax. Afterwards Kathy even had a Snap without planning for it.

Chicken Noodle Soup with Cheese on Crackers was our lunch with Grapes and Yogurt Cups for our dessert.

With the ongoing noise from outside we were tempted to go for a ride but the mess we would have to drive through quelled that thought.

My Hip wasn’t bothering me so around 4:00 I started prepping Vegetables for a Stir-Fry. I used Asparagus, Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Green Beans, Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers and Minced Garlic. We also shared a Steak for our protein with Pineapple for dessert and Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) for our beverage. When I finished cooking that up I had hobble to the table. I guess my Hip didn’t like standing that long.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported More Active Coronavirus Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region mostly in Retirement Homes.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 50 F (10 C) today but we’ll see it start to warm up through the weekend.

Once the News was finished we did the Dishes together. I had planned on going to the Gym in the morning for a low keyed workout but my Hip again vetoed that idea after standing for another Twenty Minutes.
