Spring To Winter and Family Celebration.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I was once again up by 5:00 this morning in preparation of going to the Gym. Strangely there were fewer people at Planet Fitness when I arrived. I increased the weight of the Dumbbells I was using so instead of overdoing it only completed Two Sets. The next time I go back I will push the full Three Sets with the heavier load. As I was finishing up many of those I normally see earlier started to arrive.

Even though the sky was full of Clouds there was no precipitation and very little breeze to worry about.

Back in the Apartment before 9:00 Kathy was already up and had finished breakfast but her stomach was feeling upset. After finding out what she’d eaten I felt her stomach did not have enough nutrition to meet her needs and that was why it was feeling the way it was. She refused to eat anything else insisting she was okay but feeling cold. She still didn’t eat anything until lunch.

Looking out the Balcony Door it was getting hard to see the neighbourhood because of the Fine Wet Snow that was blowing by.

We simply had Split Pea with Ham Soup as a way of filling us up as well as warming us up inside.

After we’d eaten we again worked together to make the Waldorf Salad that we would be bringing as part of our contribution to the Family Easter Celebration. It took nearly Two Hours to chop, roast and assemble all the ingredients that would complete this Salad.

Nova in the front and Sanford in the back.

Then we wanted to check out the Chocolate Cream Cheese Raspberry Oreo dessert we’d made yesterday. By cutting out a small sample from the corner of the pan we found it tasted heavenly but there was a problem. We didn’t put any Parchment Paper inside the Pan so when the dessert came out it was not pretty. Next time we’ll do it right but for now this one stayed behind and we’ll nibble away at it for the next couple of weeks.

When we arrived at our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh she had everything under control. We visited with her while waiting for everyone else to arrive. The dogs knew something special was going on and made certain to get as much attention from everyone they could. Over time we’ve all downsized how much we bring but even then by just taking a small sampling of all the dishes we all ate way too much and then there was dessert. Nobody needed anything to eat as we waddled away.

Looking at the Calendar we were reminded that this is officially Spring. As we left the Celebration and looked at all the Trees and Grass in the area it looked like it should have for Christmas.

The Weather Network showed we only reached 36 F (2 C) with the Mixed Precipitation this afternoon.

"You wanted a close up?"

Sanford always a good sport.

Krackers

A man walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm and says, “a beer please and one for the road.”
