Weather Changes, Errands Run and Parking Problems.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It’s strange that on a day we could sleep to a moderate hour 8:00 we both managed to sleep reasonably well. Leaving Kathy have a few more minutes I opened the Balcony Blinds to see a sky filled with Clouds and water Puddles throughout the parking lot.

I turned my Computer on so it would be connected by the time I was ready for breakfast. When I was finally able to check out The Weather Network they showed we could finally expect Spring-Like Weather later this afternoon.

My French Toast.

Kathy's French Toast.

I woke Kathy at 8:30 so we would get an early start at our errands and hopefully be able to park in the lot before there were no spaces available because of the Repairs being made. We enjoyed our French Toast and Juice. After checking the weather we were out the door minutes after 9:00.

The Rain had stopped just long enough for us to get half way to the Truck before it made one final downpour for the day.

Our first stop was Hearing Life in Tecumseh where Kathy dropped off her Hearing Aids. They’ve not been working properly lately so we were told to bring them in. They will be sent for service and should be back in a Week or Two. As we were leaving the Sun was slowly breaking through the Clouds.

Our next stop was Pharma Care pharmacy in Amherstburg. Kathy’s Heart Specialist ordered an increase in the strength of her Cholesterol Medications to help lower her Triglycerides. We didn’t mind the ride as it gave us a chance to look at something other then four walls. It would also give the Truck a long enough run that it might actually go into Regen.

After getting the Pills we stopped at our son Kevin’s where I gave him a pair of Coveralls. Since he didn’t have any and these were a Tall Size these will fit him perfectly. He truly appreciated them.

It was already past 11:30 so we went to the local Wendy’s Drive-Thru and ordered Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate Frosties and Seniors Soft Drinks for lunch.

Our next stop was Guardian Storage in Windsor to collect our Mail. Melissa assured me that our Automatic Payment went through without a glitch this month.

We then stopped at Motor City Community Credit Union to pick up some Loonies for our Laundry.

It was just past 1:00 so we stopped at Walmart so Kathy could get in her walking exercise. That also meant a few groceries fell into our cart and followed us home. This was the last day that Plastic Bags would be used at all Canadian Walmart Stores as way of reducing Plastic in our environment.

We pulled in to our parking lot around 2:00 and someone had taken our spot. Due to the length of the Truck we try to park it along the outer edge of the lot. I moved our Car to a spot in the middle before backing the Truck into that spot.

Looking down from our Apartment gave a better idea of the progress being made by the Contractor. Apparently this same work inside the Garage is being done by hand with Jack Hammers.

Using Very Ripe Bananas before they spoil we had Banana Pancakes for supper this evening.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported an increase to 28 Active Coronavirus Cases in the Windsor/Essex Region. The area has also crossed the grim milestone of 600 Coronavirus Deaths since the start of the Virus.

The Weather Network showed we reached 66 F (19 C) today with mixed weather heading our way for the next week.

The Truck did not go into Regen. I’m hoping it doesn’t try to do it while driving in the city.

  1. We are in Lower Michigan and the weather here was pretty much the same. It was nice when the rain left and the sky starting turning blue.

  2. I did not know your building also offered inside parking that certainly would come in handy during the winter to avoid the snow and frost.
