Restless Night, Deserted Streets and Good Fuel Prices.

Kathy struggled to fall asleep last night because she just couldn’t stop thinking of things she wanted to do but with all this Self Isolating they won’t be happening anytime soon. She didn’t fall to sleep until after 3:00. I didn’t have trouble falling to sleep but lay awake for nearly Hour before again sleeping until morning.
It seems to be getting more difficult getting out of bed early without a good reason so it was after 8:30 when we both stumbled into the dining room. There was no Wind compared to yesterday but the Sun would stay hidden behind the Clouds for the remainder of the day. The few people that were out walking the Trail were again bundled up wearing Coats, Hats and Gloves.
Deciding on a later lunch we indulged ourselves with Perogies with a Garden Salad then topped it off with Clementine Oranges, a couple of Cookies and a Yogurt Cup for dessert.

Due to inactivity Kathy could not make it through the afternoon without an extended Snap. I just focused on the Computer and kept awake.

We were watching the 6 o’clock Local News when they announced that the number of Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in our region had again doubled overnight. Then they showed the Fuel prices had again gone lower.
As soon as the News was over we headed out with the Truck. It’s been over a week since it has moved so this would give it some exercise and we could top off the Fuel. Since we were so close we first drove to Guardian Storage. Using the Remote Gate Opener we checked the Trailer first to be sure it was okay before going to the office and checking for our Mail.

Our next stop was the Pioneer gas station. It was nearly deserted but for $.889 a Litre we still topped up the tank.

On the way back to the Apartment Kathy said she’s never seen these streets so empty not even on Christmas Day.

We are hoping to spend time at our Storage Unit tomorrow so Kathy’s having a cup of Sleepy-Time Tea before going to bed. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. No town, city or country is immune to this terrible virus. I am glad your city is taking the shelter-at-home mandate seriously.

  2. I can't speak to how dead our little town is as we've not been anywhere off this country road since the 21st. It does mean people are taking it serious so it makes you wonder why the double up?
that is a crazy diesel price! I don't like the reason but I do like the savings right now. We'll top up on Saturday.

  3. It's funny how the less we do, the more we sleep. I've been struggling to stay awake in the afternoon, more out of boredom I think. Love your fuel prices are so low!!

  4. Exercising while housebound is always an option, as you know yourself Rick but Kathy could also benefit from less strenuous exercise, it would get the blood moving and do a great deal for your sleep habits, and your mental well being.
Fuel prices, especially diesel I've always thought were way out line and still do. Diesel requires less refinement than gasoline but is usually a great deal more, to me that is price gouging. Now with the bottom falling out, it's simply price gouging at a lesser rate.
    Stay warm and healthy.

  5. It is hard not to get bored and restless being cooped up in an apartment and difficult to find things to do. Exercise and fresh air definitely help for a good nights rest. Hopefully you'll find things to occupy you. Stay healthy!

  6. I hate restless nights but sometimes they happen. Nice you're having lower fuel prices. I still miss the prices in the South!

  7. Hope the tea helps. I hate restless nights but it happens. I'm isolated and content so the coronavirus hasn't affected me at all. May just stay out here till it's over:))
