Just your everyday weld, repair and touch-up at Windsor Feedscrew today, but what I did not appreciate was when I was told to rebuild the top of a Mixer Flight only to have to make it wider as well. It would have been easier, the other way around.
On a sad note it was observed that Vinnie our Engineer was absent yesterday. As it turns out on Friday afternoon his Son became violently ill and was rushed to the hospital. Within hours he was Air-Lifted to Sick Kids Hospital in London. Even though this 17 Year Old is still with us, the diagnosis is grim. He was diagnosed with Omentum Cancer, which is so rare there are only Forty-Two Known Cases in the US and Canada. It starts in the Belly Fat, before attacking the Organs. (This Teenager was active in Sports.) Survival rate is Six Months.
With that kind of news everyone was in a somber mood all day. Please Pray for Him!
Kathy had gone grocery shopping today, just so she could get out of the Apartment and walk in the Air Conditioned Store. Her efforts paid off by us sharing a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza for supper.
The Weather Guessers are showing us hitting the Century Mark for the remainder of the week, bringing Severe Storms with it from the Southern States.
