Rewriting My Resume, “Deepwater Horizon” and Nancy Drew.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Even after taking an Extra Strength Tylenol before going to bed last night didn’t really help as I continued waking every time I tossed or turned. Finally waking at 8:00 DST I decided to get start my day.

After checking the Weather and Local News I checked my E-mail to see if there were any other Job Postings. With nothing there I started catching up on the Blogs that I had to forgo reading the last couple of days.

I finally cheated by opening the Bedroom Blinds and starting the Toast and Coffee. The combination of Light and Aroma were enough to wake Kathy. It would later get mild enough that Kathy opened the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window to let some fresh air into the Apartment.

Breakfast held us over for a late lunch. Since we don’t like to waste food our lunch was mainly Leftovers. We had the Leftover Pork Chops we cooked the other night. There were Leftover Perogies in the Freezer that made a great side. Then there were Leftover Mixed Berries from the pancakes that Kathy spread over the Leftover Yogurt Cups for dessert. It’s always a treat when we have Leftovers.

We cleaned up the Dishes and Kitchen before returning to the Livingroom. Kathy suggested we watch one of the movies we often purchased to watch while on the road. While she perused the ones we hadn’t watched yet I double checked my E-mail.

There had been nothing all morning but at 1:00 while we were eating Sherry had sent a copy of what she thought should be my Resume. She had mixed Dates among a number of other discrepancies. Since I could not modify her document I had to make my own. Using her example it took nearly an Hour to put the proper information in place and return it to her.

We like to watch movies that are based true stories. Kathy chose “Deepwater Horizon” which took place in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. Even the lead-in had your interest while it set the stage to what would be known as the World’s Worst Oil Drilling Disaster. It was amazing to see what happen in the movie but the actual people who lived it said it was worse. It was a great movie getting Two Thumbs Up from the both of us.

Another thing we like to look at are the Extra Features and in this case they showed how the set was made as well as the Special Effects. We were so engrossed in that it just finished before the News started.

On our 6 o’clock Local News the big story was that people in Ontario who are Homeless are considered at greater risk of contracting and spreading the Coronavirus that they have been pushed to the front of the Vaccine Line. They also showed a Hundred and Eleven Year Old Woman getting her Vaccine. She was happy to get it so that she will remain safe. As for our local count we had 30 New Cases bringing our total of Active Cases to 273. There were no additional Deaths today.

Weather-wise we reached 54 F (12 C) today. The Flurries we were forecasted to get for the last couple of days were again rescheduled for tonight.

We had a Store Bought Thin Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza for supper.

Later we watched “Nancy Drew”.

With an earlier start for On-Line Schooling tomorrow I’m setting the Alarm tonight.

  3. Nice that they have a class to help with the resume writing. Quite a difference from when we all applied for that first job.
