A Happy Easter Celebration.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night wasn’t the best night’s sleep or the worse, but it was enough to help me get through this day.

Knowing that we’d be eating lunch out, I finally woke Kathy so we could start our day with Cookies and a Yogurt Cup for a snack. We did wash it down with a Coffee at our Computers before heading out the door around 11:00.

It was just past 11:30 when we arrived at our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh. The moment we walked in the door and Kathy said “Hello”, we were surrounded by Sanford, Nova and Stanley all looking for some scratches behind their ears and to be talked to. Our grandson Tyler and his girlfriend Jess were there to talk with. Three more weeks and Tyler will be able to write his Inter Provincial Exam for his trade. Jess is considering a change in career from employee to employer. Karen greeted us apologizing for being late, but it was actually us having arrived early. Greg was outside grilling Bacon and Ham on his Barbecue, while Karen was cooking everything else in the Oven.

The meal tasted wonderful and we had Apple Crumble Pie with Ice Cream for dessert while we kept the conversation going. As we were getting ready to leave, so was Tyler. He stays in a Motel adjacent to the College he is finishing his training at in Oakville, just outside of the city of Toronto. Even on Sundays the traffic is hectic, so he leaves early to avoid any weather related problems.

The Whitecaps were rolling in from the North Wind on Lake St. Clair as we headed for home.

As advised by my Surgeon, I have been keeping my Cane with me whenever we leave the Apartment. As we got on the elevator our neighbour Lee Anne was also getting on with her Cane. Once on our floor and walking towards our respective homes we crossed paths with Mark also using is Cane. The odd person out was Kathy capable of walking without needed assistance.

While getting caught up on our On-Line Reading, we just ignored the time until we noticed a difference in the way the Sun was lighting up the room. It was after 7:00 so we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza with extra Mushrooms and Mozzarella Cheese. Now we don’t know if we’ll even be hungry for breakfast in the morning.

We found the movie “Pokemon Detective Pikachu” to watch. We remembered how our grandsons used to talk about this all the time. Now they are young men and we’re watching the movie. It kept our attention as much as the “Spiderman” movie did.

We’ve both got a lot of Aches and Pains, so we are going to try something different tomorrow.

  1. You and Kathy had a nice Easter with family.
I suspect I will always use a cane, although I can walk short distances without it.
