Cleaning Up, Special Delivery and Happy New Year.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Wanting at least a day between my workouts, I didn’t even set the alarm last night and strangely I slept the entire night.

As has become the norm I had barely made it to the kitchen when Kathy came out to join me. Trying to use up some extra bread that we had on hand I used the old loaf to make French Toast for breakfast.

We worked at the Computers, then took stock of the few groceries we might need, after deciding what we needed to do this afternoon I made Grilled Turkey Sandwiches with Coleslaw for lunch. Kathy supplied the Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert.

As soon as the Dishes were cleaned up and put away, we were out the door. Even with a Heavy Cloud covering we were lucky that there was no Rain, but we could see some Showers taking place in the distance.

Our destination was our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s in Amherstburg. There was a special gift that had to be delivered that due to last week’s Sxxw Storm had not arrived on time for Christmas. Since I had heard Cameron reminiscing about his former pet Buddy, when I saw this Pullover I knew he would love it.

On the return to Windsor we took a trip down “Memory Lane”. It was actually Malden Road that both of us recall from our childhood years. Call it a sign of the times but there were lots of changes and only a few memories that remained.

We decided to eat at a Restaurant but found most with line-ups out the door or were only doing Take Out for today. We finally stopped someplace we had never been before and were glad we did. The Factory House served us a great meal and the atmosphere was perfect for large groups as well as couples. We’ll be stopping in again.

We had Planned on stopping to pick up some groceries to see us through next week, but we arrived just as they were locking the doors for the Holiday. It is something that most stores and shops do to celebrate those occasions.

Kathy and I want to wish all our Readers, Family and Friends a Safe, Happy New Year. Remember, “If you drink, don’t Drive”. We want everyone to make it home safely.
