Christmas Brunch and Cleaning Up.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Sleeping in for a second morning in a row was a tempting thought but we both woke to a strange sound around 7:00 this morning. No it wasn’t the sounds of Santa and his team of Reindeer on the roof, it was that the Wind had suddenly stopped blowing. The sound of the howling Wind was gone and it woke us up.

Breakfast was a Pastry and Juice at the table, to tide us over, along with a Hot Coffee/Tea that waited for us at our Computers. Even though Santa himself had not stopped in overnight there were Gift Bags with each of our names under the Tree. They were not gifts of grandeur but something that reminded us about the joy of giving to others.

We didn’t stay on the Computers very late because we had a Christmas Brunch to attend. It took time to clean the Sxxw and break the Ice off the Truck because Kathy did not feel Safe using the Car under these conditions.

We arrived at our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh only slightly late, where we found everyone but Tyler pitching in to get breakfast ready. With his job Tyler has to go into people’s homes. When he came home last night he was running a fever and went straight to bed.

It was at this point that we realized we’d forgotten the Camera at our Apartment. Sanford was eager to show off his new Squeaky Toy Chicken. Breakfast was all top notch and we waddled away from the table. We spent more time getting caught up on what has, is and will be happening in all our lives before sharing Hugs and heading for home.

Back in the Apartment, we continued reading Blogs we follow as well as corresponding with our Good Friends Wayne and Sue back at their usual spot in La Posa South LTVA outside of Quartzsite, Arizona.

The early hours caught up on me where I had an unexpected Snap. That helped me to recover enough to get busy cutting up Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Cherry Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Onion, Peppers and Zucchini to make our Stir-Fry. Cleaning all that up from the Fridge gave us lots of space for more food.

After enjoying our Veggie-Wraps I went for a walk and came back with an idea. Since this was Christmas Day everyone was out celebrating with Family or Friends I figured on using time today that I might not find later this week. The fact that we had been at our daughter’s earlier made it an easy decision.

It was past 10:00 when I walked in the Apartment with all our Laundry folded. I had the use of the Laundry Room completely to myself. Now, I won’t have to stop something else to do the Laundry this coming week.

We hope that all our readers had the chance to enjoy Christmas in their own special ways.

  1. A Christmas Brunch is a sensible idea so you can digest all that good food and don't feel stuffed before bedtime. Have some nice time off and enjoy it with Kathy.
