The Alarm Worked and Changes Are Happening.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

My body was in extreme Pain last night and things were not getting any better. Out of desperation I did the only thing I knew would help get rid of the problem, I set the Alarm. Since Tuesday I figured I would wake up on my own and go to the Gym, but I had sleepless nights before waking up too late. By setting the Alarm I slept soundly and woke up minutes before the it was set to go off.

I was at Planet Fitness by 7:00, had a good exercise, even though I wanted to do more but I was interrupted. Just as I was finishing my second set another Senior started talking about something I was far from interested in. That doesn’t sound like much, but it is enough to break your concentration. It was 10:30 by the time I got back to the Apartment to find Kathy already at her Computer.

Around noon we received a call that the Cheques that Kathy had ordered had arrived at the Motor City Community Credit Union on Walker Road, not at the Tecumseh Road location where she had gone to. They also mentioned they were closing at 1:00 today for the Holiday Weekend. Since we needed those our Plans did a quick turn around. It was as if the Traffic Lights were being nice to us, as the all turned Green as we rushed to get to our destination before they closed.

We used a Coupon at Burger King and enjoyed Chicken Sandwiches for lunch. As we ate we talked about things we needed to get for the Trailer and one of those was a new Mattress. The one in there was fairly new but it was exactly Six Feet Long. Even Kathy at Sixty-Seven Inches tall with her pillow would have her feet hanging over the end of the Mattress and I’m over Six Feet tall.

Remembering there was a Sleep Country mattress store on Walker Road that’s where we went. Talk about Sticker Shock, their prices were through the roof at Twenty-Five Hundred for what we wanted.

Kathy had seen Bedroom Depot just down the road so we headed there. When we walked in the salesmen were all busy so we looked at the displays ourselves. Spotting one that looked about right Kathy tried it out and it felt perfect. Then we saw the “Reduced Floor Model Price $666.00”. When the salesman looked our way we just pointed and said “Sold”. This is a Ten Inch Queen Sized Mattress by Bamboo and with no metal springs it is very comfortable.

After paying for our purchase we had to drive the Car home and get the Truck to go pick up our purchase. Luckily they wrapped it in a Plastic Bag because as I was tying it on top the Tonneau Cover it started to Rain. We headed straight to the Trailer and put it inside.

While there I turned on the Battery and found it too weak to light up the Incandescent Bulbs. I started replacing them with the LED Lights that arrived yesterday. They would not light. Not a problem. LED Lamps only work with a Positive lead and Negative Ground. Just changing the Cables around on the Battery does not work for the rest of the circuits.

It was past 5:00 when we left the Storage Yard. Again we were tired and hungry so we stopped at Taco Bell for supper. At least it wasn’t another Burger or Sandwich.

By the time we got home the Rain had turned to a Drizzle and the temperature finally reached its high. Not sure what tomorrow will bring.

  1. The price of everything is through the roof. Sounds like a good deal for that mattress.
