Computers For Kids and Busy Day.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Before going to bed last night, I made Plans, so I set the Alarm. Even though I was in bed early and slept soundly. Moments before the Alarm was set to go off, I turned it off because I still felt tired and decided sleep was more important. So much for Plans.

Since I slept in Kathy sensed my presence and slept later herself. We simply had a Pecan Tart and Coffee for breakfast, which meant we had the chance to check our messages On-Line before heading out the door.

An overnight dusting.

Our first stop was to donate some of our old Electronics to “Computers for Kids”. This is an organization run strictly by Volunteers that was started by an Electrician that saw children that did not have access to personal computers were falling behind in school. Teaming up with local Civic Centers he was allowed to set up Computers that have been wiped clean, for those children to use. They are monitored and are only allowed to use them for schoolwork. What is not reusable gets disassembled and Recycled. This helps keep all those electronics out of the Landfill. Since then, lots of Cities and Stores offer to recycle things like that but keep the monies for their own coffers. There is only one “Computers for Kids”.

Heading back towards home on the Expressway we needed to run some errands. Heading up Walker Road and noticing the time I turned into the Hi-Ho Restaurant. The Coronavirus almost closed this place, but they are slowly coming back. We enjoyed their Ruben Sandwiches with Homemade Cream of Potato and Ham Soup as a side.

The next place to go was to Princess Auto to exchange some Utility Cart Wheels I purchased just last night. As we were leaving, we checked out their Yard Sale and I found replacement Headgears for my Welding Shields for $7.99. With the amount of use they get, I bought Two for that price.

We then headed across to Green Shield for Kathy to submit her Claim Form from Mary for Healthy Heals. The only cars in the lot were those of the Computer Techs.

With my running shoes showing signs of wear, we stopped at The Shoe Company at the Tecumseh Mall. They had to order them in but at least I know what I’ll be getting.

We also walked the Mall to the Dollarama for supplies that we would be needing. The walk through the Mall also helped us to get some exercise.

We finally made it to the Zehr’s grocery store. The store has gone through a major upgrade which made it a little difficult finding some things. Kathy was looking for a different juice to try and did not realize she was looking at a Craft Beer. Since she is highly allergic to Maltso Beer is something she has to stay away from.

Lastly, we went to the Bulk Barn to get our healthy snacks at reasonable prices.

We definitely used our Folding Two Wheel Shopping Cart to get everything up to our Apartment.

We watched a Christmas Movie and a Mystery this evening. That’s why the late post.

With the weather starting to be more seasonal, we’ll see what we do tomorrow.
