He’s Still Looking and Empty No More.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It felt good for the both of us to be able to sleep in this morning. It’s strange when you work at a job Five or Six Days a Week you become used to waking early but when you only do it occasionally for personal reasons they seem to drag you down.

Still working at cleaning our Fridge before we refill it we simply had Cereal for breakfast.

We spent the morning reading Messages, Local News and Blogs. As far as the Job Search goes the only one in my Trade being advertise is at my former place of employment. Since I didn’t have much time to talk with Ivan on Sunday I only know of Two Welders that were hired after I left. The one lasted Two Weeks while the other only Two Days. Guess they wouldn’t put up with the BS I did.

More Fridge cleaning when it came to our late lunch where I made a simple Four Egg Omelette with Cheddar Cheese and Peppers that we shared. Everything was going well until I tried to plate it. I’m still learning so I should have it down pat in a few years. Even though it was messy it still tasted great. Kathy made a dessert plate with Cookies and a Yogurt Cup.

We headed out the door with Shopping List in hand shortly after cleaning up. Our first stop was to collect our Mail at Guardian Storage. When we left there we noticed the Gasoline Prices had gone up Five Cents a Litre (Nineteen Cents a US Gallon) overnight.

We stopped at Dollarama where we started checking things off our Shopping List and since it’s hot outside we even got a few Juices that were not Energy Drinks or Pop to try out. If they work having some of those on hand might be better for us.

Our next stop was Zehr’s grocery store where we spent more time getting the rest of the things on our Shopping List along with something for tonight’s supper.

With a Moving Truck at the rear of the building we used our Folding Shopping Cart to haul our purchases up to the Apartment. Once that was unloaded Kathy started putting them away while I went to retrieve a second load. We are well stocked for some time and will only be needing things such as Produce and Dairy for a while.

It was past 5:30 when we sat down to relax for a bit. We had been watching the 6 o’clock Local News before we realized we hadn’t eaten yet. Warming up some of the Chicken Nuggets we got at in store Deli and adding some Potato Salad it was like an indoor picnic sitting in front of the Air Conditioner.

The Weather Network showed our temperature felt like 97 F (36 C) this afternoon but we’ll be cooling down for a bit of relief through the weekend. That will help me to get a few things done on the Car and Truck.

  1. Your omelet looks delicious to me. Glad you had a chance to go stock up. Your temperatures are beginning to resemble ours :-(

  2. Ha. Yes. You could be in Texas. Except of course, you have more humidity. We are sorely lacking rain. As for the omelet, pretty is as pretty does, my mother used to say. If it tastes good.....what else counts.
