Catching Up and On The Run.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

By having taken care of the Laundry so late last evening I had no problems sleeping whatsoever and I didn’t feel the least bit guilty about sleeping until 8:00 this morning. Kathy who had only gotten to bed Twenty Minutes before me was actually why I woke as she tried to sneak out of bed without waking me.

We had our Sunny Side Up Egg on Toast for breakfast before heading over to the Computers. There was plenty to read so we kept busy only taking breaks to do our morning chores.

When we started feeling hungry early for lunch we thought breakfast. We like to try different foods that could be something we’d keep on hand for those times we need to cook something fast. When we try these foods they can’t be full of Salt, Fat, Sugar or Carbs. We tried some ready made Belgium Waffles that just needed to be warmed up and served. We tried the old Ego way by putting them in the toaster. They came out perfect even though we didn’t have any Fruit to put on them Margarine and Syrup seemed to do the trick. We’ll give them another try but we’ll be certain to have Fruit to go with them.

Around 1:15 we headed out the door. Taking Riverside Drive eastbound we were surprise but delighted to see the city of Windsor had put Flower Boxes on the Fence at Sand Point Beach. They add colour to the Fence that is there to stop children from running out into traffic while playing. The Flowers will visibly stop the little ones from running into the fence which is nearly transparent otherwise.

Kathy had a follow-up appointment at Hearing Life in Tecumseh. We barely sat down when she was called in. After asking questions that she was unsure of she had another adjustment made to the sensitivity level to her Hearing Aids.

Leaving there we drove across the street to the Home Hardware Building Center. While Kathy looked around the Outdoor Living Section I returned the last can of Paint that we did not need.

We then took the Expressway over to the Parkway. Even though the City started repairs to the Parkway last year it still made the top of the list for the Worst Road In The City.

We stopped at Zehr’s grocery store where we purchased a few things on our latest List.

While I put those in the Car Kathy went to Dollar Tree looking for Citronella Candles for our outside Lantern. They didn’t have any.

We then went to Walmart where we were directed to Three Different Displays that all had Candles but it was the last one that had what we were looking for.

By the time we got back to the Car we were both starting to feel hungry. The Waffles didn’t seem to fill us the way they should have. We headed to Burger King and took advantage of their Whopper Wednesday Deals for supper substituting Onion Rings for the Fries. Now hours later we are still not hungry.

By the time we returned to the Car there were signs of passing showers.

The 6 o’clock Local News had an array of different things to talk about but the only thing that caught my attention was the Fuel Prices that continue to rise.

The Weather Network showed our temperature only reached 68 F (20 C) because of the Rain we were having. We could be having another Heat Warning in another week.

Krackers

You Might Be a Redneck If

You and your wife celebrate your anniversary at the K-mart cafeteria.

  1. No more K-Mart cafeterias. Actually almost no more K-Marts either. But we are still rednecks.

  3. My husband is a redneck and I call my a Mexican redneck. So "still having rednecks " is a good thing!

  4. Hmmm, I would think waffles would be heavy on the carbs. I avoid them but sure find enough other 'bad' carb foods to eat!
