Even though it was late when I went to bed again last night making it Two Nights in a row I set the Alarm for 6:00 this morning. Strangely I only woke a few times throughout the night and though a little slow managed to be out the door shortly after getting up.
After
changing and walking out to the exercise area of Planet
Fitness
I was seeing familiar faces and thinking they had gotten there early.
It took me a couple of minutes to remember it was me that had slept
later. It was
still taking extra breathing time between Sets
on the Free
Weights
since I increased the weight to Forty
Pounds
per side. That is something that everyone faces when
they
increase their load until it once again becomes the New
Normal.
At that point many stay with that same load while others will
increase it. I
felt sufficiently worn out and did not do a Cool-Down
Routine
today.
When I got back to the building I was surprised to see Contractor’s Vehicles all over the parking lot. When I got inside they had commandeered both the working Elevators and had them stuffed with Equipment and Materials. It would take nearly an Hour before they became available so there was only one other choice. I was getting more exercise by taking the Stairs to the Eighth Floor to our Apartment. I can say my Hernia showed its disapproval for the rest of the day.
With forecasted cooler temperatures for the next few days we were able to shut the Air Conditioner and open the Bedroom Window and Balcony Door. It was nice listening to the Birds singing outside.
As soon as I’d finished pouring the Boiling Water for our morning beverages I went to top off the Kettle because the Water was supposed to be shut off at 10:00. I got upset because the Water was already turned “Off” at 9:20. It was a good thing we had filled a couple of Jugs last night but I’m certain there were others who did not.
When it came time for lunch we wanted to have something different so we had Toasted Ham Sandwiches along with the Leftover Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert. With the Water not scheduled to be turned back on until 5:00 the Dishes would have to wait.
It was nearly 2:30 when we headed out the door with an Errand and Appointment to make. Our first stop was Guardian Storage where we not only had Mail but a couple of Packages to collect.
With over an Hour until my Appointment in Amherstburg we took the more relaxed way to get there going through McGregor not far from where we stayed at Wildwood Golf and RV Park during our time as Fulltimers.
We were a Half Hour early but Kathy insisted that I might get in sooner and she was right. The New Denture that I recently had made needed adjusting. After explaining what was happening and where on the plate Adam didn’t take long to fix it up. It felt much better then before.
It was only 3:50 when we arrived at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s we had the chance to visit with our grandson Matthew and wish him a Belated Happy Birthday. He was off work this week as they were performing maintenance. He appreciated his gift. Unfortunately Melissa wasn’t home but we’re sure she’ll enjoy her Birthday tomorrow.
It was past 5:00 when we got back to Windsor so we stopped by Wendy’s for their Grilled Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate Frosties and Seniors Soft Drinks for supper.
We watched the 6 o’clock Local News at home but since their former Anchor Jim retired it just does not hold our interest as much.
The Weather Network showed our temperature reached 73 F (23 C) this afternoon.
We kept some errands to do for tomorrow so we won’t be sitting around all day.
