The Heat Is On.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After posting our Blog later then expected last night due to our attending the Summer Music Festival at our grandson Connor’s high school I set the Alarm later so I could at least get a decent amount of sleep. The problem was I spent the better part of the night awake and was in no shape to go to the Gym. My sleep was more important and I took advantage of it.

Kathy was up only minutes after I left the room. Cereal was on the menu for breakfast as I try not to serve the same thing day after day. Since we hadn’t opened any windows because of the Forecasted Temperatures Kathy was feeling the heat by the time we finished eating. It was time to turn on our Air Conditioner for the first time this year. By not letting in the Humid Air it was easier for the AC to cool things down. Lots of people make the mistake of waiting until it gets hot to turn on their ACs but by doing it while it is still cool actually uses less Electricity.

Our lower Humidity makes it feel hotter.

The Weather Network showed our Humidex only reached 115 F (46 C) this afternoon. I laugh every time I do this but when we have these hot days I notice our Humidity level actually goes down. Comparing that to our next favourite place Quartzsite Arizona we were warmer. Their high was only 108 F (42 C) but with their lower Humidity their their temperature felt like 99 F (37 C).

Kathy cracked open the door to check how it felt outside and immediately closed it saying it felt like she was sticking her face in the Oven.

For lunch we simply finished the Summer Spiral Pasta Salad since we were being far less then active.

For supper we cooked up a few Perogies with Sour Cream and Shredded Cheddar Cheese then topped it off with a Chocolate Pudding Cup for dessert. It does have to hold us over until breakfast.

I’m looking forward to getting to the Gym in the morning and the cooler temperatures the weekend will bring along.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, “I’ll serve you but don’t start anything.”

  3. Here in BC, much of our province is under a flood watch. We cannot seem to string together two days in a row of sun and warmth. Just constant rain. Even snow on the passes. I think the highest temp we have seen is "maybe 22" and that's being generous. We are currently in the Kootenays in SE BC and the whole area is on flood watch! Yikes! One extreme to another! Stay cool!
