What Caused The Explosion and Getting Calls.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It felt good not setting the Alarm last night because it meant that my mind would not be on a heightened sense that the I had to get up early. Instead I was able to relax and wake when I felt rested. There was no Tossing or Turning and I woke at a decent time.

We were having Cereal for breakfast shortly after 8:00. We then took our Coffee/Tea to the Computers where we briefly had the chance to check what was important to us.

We were out the door before 10:50. When we drove out the driveway I immediately went around the block looking. When you are curious you like to get answers so we were on a mission. On Saturday there was a nearby Explosion/Fire that I mentioned in our Blog. Having first hand experience on what Fire can do to a house I knew exactly which house had the problem. It appears that someone was Barbecuing and it got out of hand. I mentioned an Explosion on Saturday. The Barbecue probably blew out and the person tried to relight it without opening the lid. From the twisted Barbecue, burnt up Fence and scorched twisted Siding on the house I’m certain they didn’t enjoy supper that night.

Kathy came along for the ride but stayed in the Car while I went inside at Rivertown Dental in Amherstburg. It’s been over Twenty-Five Years since I’ve had a new Denture and it is time. Procedures have changed but the terrible tasting paste used for imprints has gotten worse. The Plate should be ready for next week.

We used a Coupon for lunch at McDonald’s to keep our costs down. Luckily the High School Students were heading back to class when we came into town so the place was only filled with Seniors.

On our return to Windsor our first stop was Guardian Storage where we found our Refund Cheque from Green Shield in our Mailbox. That lead to us stopping at Motor City Community Credit Union where we cashed it so Kathy will have the Cash to pay Mary from Healthy Heals the next time she comes to take care of Kathy’s feet.

One thing we are all guilty of if we think we’ll need something we often buy it before looking in our storage rooms or units. Last week when we knew that I’d be modifying the Toilette Cabinet we bought Paint. When Kathy cleaned the Balcony, Bistro Set and Lantern we bought more Paint. When I went to our Storage Unit last week to empty out the Truck I came across a box that had those same cans of Paint inside.

Our next stop was The Home Depot where Two Cans of Paint were returned. I like that it automatically is returned to the Card that was used.

We then hit the Dollarama where we got started on our grocery shopping getting Bread and some of our Healthy Snacks.

Driving across the parking lot we stopped at the Zehr’s grocery store where Produce and Dairy were on the list.

Our last stop was Canadian Tire where I again returned another can of Paint.

Back at the building we used our Folding Two Wheel Shopping Cart to haul our purchases up to the Apartment.

Once our purchases were put away I managed to install the modified Toilette Cabinet where it belonged. While I cooked Perogies for supper Kathy put things back in the Cabinet.

The only thing the 6 o’clock Local News had to report on were all the festivals that took place locally this past weekend. It was like a reawakening after they were shuttered through Two Years of fighting the Coronavirus.

The Weather Network showed our temperature reached 81 F (27 C) with Rain overnight through tomorrow.

My Aunt Anna called thinking she had called a longtime friend. Apparently her number is only one off from mine. She is tired of sitting still and can’t wait to be healed enough to start walking again.

Later our Daughter Karen called basically just touching base to be sure we were okay.

Tomorrow Rain or Shine it’s a busy day.

Words of Inspiration

Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can remain free.”

  1. I cannot say I totally agree with the above word of inspiration. With the bbq explosion it confirms we cannot be too careful when using propane.

  4. The Frank Burns character was there to make fun of. Blindly following is not the way to go.
