Repairs and An Explosion.

Why we spend most of the night tossing and turning then have to sleep later in the morning to make up for that lost sleep keeps us guessing. There could be the fact that we both have Sleep Apnea which means we use CPAP Machines in order to continue to breathe. Interestingly enough one of the Side Effects of Sleep Apnea is Insomnia. That’s right we lay there praying to fall asleep. Personally I believe the Insomnia is caused by our bodies each time we wake after our CPAPs get us breathing again. It’s hard to believe that you can actually stop breathing every second you are sleeping. We both got out of bed later then we wanted this morning feeling like more tired then when we went to bed. That is a true sign that you are not sleeping properly.

After Cereal for breakfast we headed headed over to the Computers where we would only spend part of our day. Since we battled the Congestion problem we have both struggled with our energy levels. I need to get back to the Gym but just can’t get the motivation.

Lunch was Chicken Noodle Soup with Fruit and Chocolate Pudding Cups for dessert.

Last week when we were forced into allowing them to replace our Toilette the Contractor that did the job did not know what they were doing. Most new Toilettes are not flat on the bottom and when the bathroom has Ceramic Tile Flooring you end up having a Rocking Chair where you don’t need. I found some Silicone Sealer and applied it to the front edge. The trick is to leave it cure for about Four Hours but when you get older that doesn’t always happen. It only rocks a bit now. Maybe another bead of Sealer will do the trick.

Kathy and I worked together replacing the Screen Door Seal. The simplest way was to lay the Screen on a Plastic Tarp in our Living Room. We scraped away the old adhesive and replaced it with Two Sided Tape. It worked like a charm and we now have far less insects coming in the Apartment.

I also retrieved the Paint Cans from the Truck that we’ll use to spruce up our Balcony area.

I cooked up Macaroni and Cheese for our supper while the 6 o’clock Local News came on. They talked abut the Detroit Grand Prix that is taking place this weekend.

The Weather Network showed our temperature finally reached 70 F (21 C).

Smoke above the trees.

As I was sitting here moments ago writing the Blog when we heard what sounded like a small Explosion in the neighbourhood behind our building. Within a minute we could smell an acrid odor coming through our Balcony Door. Seconds later Sirens were fast approaching so we headed out on the Balcony. There was a large plume of Smoke rising above the tree tops. It took less then Twenty Seconds after the Fire Department arrived on scene for the Smoke to disappear. At least we’ll hear some Local News tomorrow.

For many that may not interest them but when you’ve had your home burnt down due to Kids playing with Fire you look at each one as being personal.
