Building Fire Alarm and Summer Music Festival.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Last night was cool enough that we had to shut the bedroom Window. We managed to sleep soundly for the entire night even sleeping past 8:00 this morning.

A lite Cloud Cover all day.

Breakfast was Toast with Juice. On the Computers we went through our usual morning routines and were happy to see the Temperature was not going to get as hot as the earlier forecast had suggested. There wasn’t a single Job Ad for me to apply for.

When it came time for lunch we wanted something lite so we had Minestrone Soup along with Cheese on Crackers and Strawberries on Ice Cream for dessert.

We had a few chores to do throughout the afternoon in preparation for this evening’s event.

When it came time for supper I modified a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Bacon Pizza by adding Broccoli, Chopped Onion and Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. With the Timer set for Fifteen Minutes we had a little excitement at the Ten Minute mark. The Building Fire Alarm started going off and it wasn’t from our Pizza. Looking down the hallway the Flashing Warning Light was also lighting up the place. We simply put on our Ear Muff Hearing Protectors to muffle the sound. The Pizza came out perfect and did not overfill us.

Grandson Connor.

We were out the door at 5:00 for our evening out. We went to L’Essor High School in Tecumseh to hear their Summer Music Festival. The last time we got to hear then was October 2019 just ahead of the Coronavirus Outbreak. This was their first show to the public since then. During the Lock Downs they practised virtually so they could still function as a group when they got back together.

(L-R) Connor and a Senior playing a Duet.

We met our daughter-in-law Jen with grandson Haigan and granddaughter Emma in the Foyer before it began so we could all sit together. This Concert was divided into three parts with the first part being the Horns. Our grandson Connor was one of the Saxophone Players. He only started playing it since February and has really picked it up. The second part was totally Guitars that he has been playing since early 2019. The weird part is that Connor is Right-Handed but can only play a Left-Handed Guitar. Besides the songs the entire group played he was paired with a senior for a Duet. It sounded like they had been playing together for years. The evening finished off with a Jazz recital where Connor actually had a chance to sit back and enjoy the show. We were able to get a picture with his Music Teacher after the show was over. We are very proud of his accomplishments and hope to see his performance next year.

The Jazz Group.
We caught some pictures of the Sun about to set as we drove home.

The Weather Network showed our Humidex only reached 95 F (35 C) around supper time. Tomorrow will be a Hot One.

Krackers

A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, “I’ll serve you but don’t start anything.”
