Three Times Out, Another Way and Now Waiting.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

We did a quick swing by yesterday to inquire when the best time to be there was and were told 7:30 in the morning when the doors open. Having gotten most everything ready before going to bed last night I was up before the Alarm by 5:53. I had everything sorted and pretreated before waking Kathy at 6:30. While she dressed I stacked everything by the door.

We were eating breakfast at McDonald’s at 6:50 and took our Coffees to-go.

The Super Clean Laundromat does not open until 7:30 but there was already a crowd waiting outside when Phil arrived at 7:10 so she let them in. Arriving at 7:20 we had a couple of Washers here another over there and the last Two on the Front Row. It worked out where after getting the Washers going we could enjoy those Coffees. By the time the clothes was all in the Dryers our cups were empty.

Still covered with Plastic.

It was 9:00 when we arrived at the Zehr’s grocery store. Kathy noticed something new on the front of the building. With the modern upgrades being done they were also inviting an in-store collaboration with a future Starbucks kiosk. There were so few people that early on a Sunday we had no problems finding anything though we did notice a rise in many prices.

We found out that we were too early to go to the Bulk Barn so we went to Dollarama. They had been and still were stocking their shelves with Christmas Decorations. We hate when they do that before Thanksgiving let alone Remembrance Day. We found everything we needed on our List.

Back at Bulk Barn it didn’t take long to get our Healthy Snacks and head out. At this point my Hernia started acting up feeling like the day I went to the Clinic this past Winter. We have an upcoming Birthday for our youngest Granddaughter coming this week so even though I try to help Kathy do that shopping I didn’t do it this time. Instead I dropped her at the door so she could find something Cute and Usable at Walmart. Luckily we keep a bottle of Extra Strength Tylenol in the Car. With the front windows down I think I might have dozed a few times. When Kathy came out the Pain was down to a dull roar.

It was past 11:00 and we needed to eat. Even though the original Plan (that word) was to eat lunch at home we ended up at Wendy’s for our usual lite satisfying meal.

Yesterday when I was showing Jim the Solar Panels on thee Trailer Roof I noticed some Hairline Cracks starting in the Caulking. Having redone the Roof on our Avalanche when I mentioned it to Kathy she thought lets get it done.

We headed back to Canadian Tire where I had purchased Stay Cool a Rubberized Roof Sealer that actually keeps the Trailer cooler in the heat of the Summer by reflecting the Sun’s Rays. (Please wear Sunglasses when applying this product.) When we went back I was informed they stopped carrying it a Month ago and didn’t have anything to replace it with.

Back at our building we used our Folding Two Wheel Cart to bring all the Groceries up to our Apartment. While Kathy started putting them away I went back to the Car and hauled Two Laundry Baskets at a time upstairs. Once the Car was parked in its own spot I put away the Laundry before helping Kathy finish the groceries.

Finally turning on the Computers for the first time at 1:00 we still were having problems with the Regular Blogs we read coming up Encrypted. No matter what I did back in the Design Mode the problem remained. Then I tried something.

Most people just read the daily happenings of our Blog but few actually look at or check out other parts of it. On the Right Sidebar is a list of Blogs We Follow. On the Left Sidebar is an Archive list of our published blogs as well as a list of Bloggers We’ve Met. Those bloggers are listed according to the Date we meet them as well as their Legal Names. If you click on those it will bring up their Blogs in realtime. So even though we can’t follow those Blogs the way we prefer there is another way to read them. If you don’t understand what I’m saying click on any of them and check it out.

Getting into research mode I found a product called Coolflex that had the same ratings as Stay Cool but sold at Home Depot.

When we got there we were informed that it is only sold by Home Depot On-Line. Try as they might they could not order it for me.

Since it was already 5:00 we stopped at A&W for supper. It appeared to be all new employees. It took forever but we finally ate.

With all my Paint Supplies in our Garden Shed in Amherstburg we stopped at Dollarama for the second time today to replace some of them.

Back at the Apartment I had no problems ordering the Sealer that will take a week to deliver. At least the Trailer will be dry through the Winter and another Seven Years.

  1. Finally found out how to make a comment on your blog: turn OFF reader mode on my Brave Browser.

Anyway, you mentioned the prices going up at Starbucks. I have found that coffee shops are a great place to practice consumer "rebellion". Vote against their price rise by not going to such places anymore. You can make a better cup of coffee yourself.

  2. I had been wondering how your hernia was doing as I thought you were going to be operated soon or at least that was how I interpreted to be before you landed your new job. Take care of yourself...Kathy needs you!

  3. What a lot of errands you had! LIke MsBelinda, I thought you were in line to get something done about that hernia. Hope it doesn't get you before you can get it. (A dreadful prospect I know, but my husband's life was greatly improved with finally getting it tended to.....)
