Rescheduled, More Applications and Falling Prices.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After another late night at the Computer there was no way I could drag myself out of bed early to go to the Gym. When I finally did get up I could have simply gone later which meant that it would have been closer to noon that I would have returned or I could reschedule.

As soon I checked The Weather Network it showed there were storms heading our way over the next couple of days but today would be Mainly Sunny. By adding an extra day off between workouts is not too bad unless the days really start adding up. So I made the choice we would do our errands today and I’ll workout ahead of the storms tomorrow.

Kathy soon joined me after struggling to fall asleep last night but afterwards slept soundly. That was strange considering the Air Conditioner had been off the entire night. We had a Muffin and Juice for breakfast before taking our drinks to the Computers.

I managed to apply for One Job before we stopped to have lunch. Not wanting food to spoil we had Toasted Tomato Sandwiches with Coleslaw for lunch then had a Chocolate Pudding Cup with another Muffin for dessert.

With our appetites sated we were soon headed out the door. Our first stop was Guardian Storage where we first headed to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Even though it was very comfortable inside Kathy felt it was hot. I was there to add the recently replaced Tools to the Toolboxes as well as collecting a few that I’ll need to work on the Truck. Having to move things around to accomplish that small chore meant we spent nearly Fifteen Minutes inside. We then made a quick stop at the Office to collect our Mail.

Since we had seen a drop in gas prices earlier, after leaving the Storage Yard we stopped at Pioneer gas station where we paid $1.726/Litre ($6.53/US Gallon) for Gasoline. That was a drop of $.22/Litre ($.833/US Gallon) since our last fill up. Diesel had only dropped Four Cents /Litre or Fifteen Cents/US Gallon.

The Wind was keeping this 10' X 20' Flag moving.

A quick stop at Dollarama found us scratching Bread and other supplies off our Shopping List.

Driving over to Zehr’s grocery store where we finished getting thing on the List and a few more. Cans of Habitat Soup were a Dollar Cheaper then normal. We saved Eight Dollars on that alone.

We used our Folding Two Wheel Shopping Cart to haul everything upstairs to the Apartment. After getting everything put away a quick check of The Weather Network showed our temperature outside felt like 97F (36 C) this afternoon. It was actually starting to feel a bit stuffy so we turned the Air Conditioner on around 3:30.

Job Ads and Resume Requests were piling up so I was busy taking care of those until supper time making Eight for the day.

Supper was easy to make since we had just bought those fixings at the Deli Counter at the grocery store. After plating the Broasted Chicken and Macaroni Salad we had to shut the AC because we were already feeling cold. We had Seedless Watermelon for dessert.

The only things of interest on our 6 o’clock Local News was the Dropping Fuel Prices, Heat Warnings for the next Week and the Provincial Government’s Health Officer recommending we start wear Masks again indoors due to the surging numbers of Omicron B5 Variant.

The AC is still turned off as of this moment and we will let you know how our weekend plays out.

  2. Glad to hear your gasoline prices are going down and that you found a good price on your soup. It always makes me feel better when I get to save a little.
