Cool Clean Up and Cooler Then Expected.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Thinking that I wouldn’t be sleeping in didn’t quite go as planned. It was after 7:10 by the time I got up and got busy doing what should have been finished by that time sorting and pretreating the Laundry.

It must have been the sound of the Hamper Lid closing that had Kathy springing into action. She had her morning chores finished and breakfast made by the time I completed my task.

We arrived at the Laundromat by 9:00 and I immediately started loading the Washers while Kathy enjoyed the cool Air Conditioned atmosphere. The last time we were here was Monday July 4th and so was everyone else. Being this was a Tuesday there wasn’t everybody trying to do the same thing at the same time.

The Washers were finished minutes apart unlike the last time allowing me a chance to immediately move those loads into waiting Dryers. It still amazes me that short people insist on stretching to use the Upper Dryers while I have to struggle bending in Pain to the Lower ones due to my Hernia. With Kathy’s help we had everything folded and were on our way to our next destination by 10:30.

We went to Princess Auto because today was the first day of their current Sale. They start on a Tuesday, go for Thirteen Days, then have a pause day to remove old Sale Tags and install the new ones. Even though it seems like so long ago but there are still some Tools that I am replacing from when they were stolen during a Break-in at the Plant. It didn’t take as long as I thought it would. Besides it was much more comfortable inside then out.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to find our Mailbox very empty.

Next we went to Motor City Community Credit Union to cash the Refund Cheque from Green Shield so Kathy will have the money for the next time Mary from Healthy Heals comes to work on her feet. That took just over a Week to get our reimbursement.

By then it was past 11:45 so we stopped at Wendy’s to have lunch. We kept it lite with Grilled Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate Frosties and Seniors Soft Drinks. We took our time eating in their Air Conditioned dining room.

The reason for having lunch out was we needed to get some groceries and the experts say not to do it when you are hungry. We went to Zehr’s grocery store getting some produce as well as a snack.

We made a quick stop at the Dollarama closets to our Apartment where we picked up a few bottles of Brisk Iced Tea and Lemonade. They cost less then a Dollar each for a Litre Sized Bottle. Same thing at the corner store is nearly Three Dollars.

Our Folding Shopping Cart helped get most everything upstairs when we got home. When walking in we could feel the heat building inside so we finally turned on the Air Conditioner after 2:00. We were also lucky that the temperature didn’t get as Hot as forecasted. Instead The Weather Network showed our temperature only felt like 106 F (41 C) today.

After getting everything put away I read on the Computer until 4:00 before starting to get things ready for supper. The last time I made a Stir Fry it felt like I did not cook it quite long enough. I find that by Slow Cooking it in the Wok works better. Probably because I’m still learning and just getting comfortable doing this. Today I chopped Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cherry Tomatoes, Onion and Peppers but I planned to change it up. In a small fry pan I also grilled up chopped Chicken Breast.

By 5:30 I served the Grilled Chicken on the Wrap covered with the Stir-Fried Vegetables topped with Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Kathy said it changed the taste completely for the better.

Tomorrow’s forecast is just as Hot but with Thunderstorms thrown in for good measure.

What did the farmer say when he couldn’t find his tractor.

Where’s my tractor?”
