Happy Anniversary.

There was no setting the Alarm last night and it felt good to wake up holding hands with Kathy this morning. Even though I was getting things ready for breakfast when she joined me she admitted to having a hard time falling to sleep last night. Even though this was our Special Day Cereal was our food of choice.

Taking our morning drinks to the Computers we went about our usual checking the Weather, E-Mails, Local News and Blogs. I even found another job search platform called Talent.com that I spent another Hour getting registered through. It also gave me Two more jobs to apply for. I then went to check out Facebook Messenger where I found Kathy had left for everyone to read a Special Message to me and I love her for it.

We had a relaxing morning and waited until 12:30 before heading out the door. The last couple of Years it was impossible to celebrate our day in this fashion due to the Coronavirus Restrictions not allowing dine in services.

It wasn’t until we were about to enter the restaurant that I realized that once again the Camera was still at home. East-Side Mario’s was our destination and it was still quite busy at 1:00. I had thought that the lunch crowd would have thinned but it didn’t. Even the Managers were busy helping the Wait and Cooking Staff at this surprising crowd. It gave us time to talk while waiting for our food. It was our way of celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary.

It was past 3:00 when we headed over to Dollarama to pick up some needed supplies. You could tell the Schools were done for the summer because the place was full of younger shoppers who would normally not be there.

As we were about to leave we looked at how packed the grocery store parking lot was filled. Probably people stocking up for the Canada Day Celebrations tomorrow.

We drove across the street to Walmart where we picked up needed Produce along with a Cake that we considered having for dessert later today.

Getting back to the Car I realized our Folding Shopping Cart was still in our Storage Unit so we then headed to Guardian Storage. We stored our Camping Chairs and got our Cart along with our Mail before leaving.

Seeing Gasoline Prices were down a Nickel per Litre we topped off the Car. A Half a Tank still cost more then what a Full Tank used to.

I’d turned the Air Conditioner on first thing this morning so it was comfortable in the Apartment when we walked in. The Weather Network showed our temperature felt like 95 F (35 C).

We’ll be having that Cake for dessert tomorrow because our lunch filled us up so much we did not eat Supper. We had been comfortable with what we ate but as we walked it off we seem to be less interested in having another meal.

We hope all our Canadian and American Readers who are travelling in Canada enjoy the Canada Day Celebrations.

Early Weather Woes, No Aches Or Pains and Good Meals.

It felt like I was dragging anchor when the Alarm woke me at 5:00 this morning. With a brief snack I was soon on my way to Planet Fitness. Looking through the Windows before going in it was surprising how many people were inside. The entire time I did my Cardio Workout the Free Weight Section was packed. Even after wiping down my Machine it was still too busy so I turned to the Resistance Machines. I barely completed Two Routines when I noticed the Free Wight Section was totally empty. It was a great Workout with the increased load. The hot shower helped to revitalize me by taking away my Aches and Pains.

The Sun was hidden behind a thick wall of Clouds but I made it home dry. Looking up from the parking lot I could see the Blinds in our Apartment were still closed. The first thing I did when I was inside was to see Kathy still in bed but seconds after I opened the Balcony Blinds she practically came running out to join me. As suspected she’d had a hard time falling to sleep and slept in to make up for that lost time.

Raining.

Breakfast was a Sunny Side Up Egg on a Toast with Juice. By the time we took our hot drinks to the Computers there was a gentle Rain falling outside.

I had to continually get up and walk around the room because my early start to the day was trying to have me close my eyes. Finally I just got up start chopping Vegetables for our Lunchtime Wraps. There was Broccoli, Carrots, Celery, Onions, Peppers and Zucchini all topped with Shredded Cheddar Cheese. Kathy struggled to finish her’s. As we were clearing the Table I noticed it had finally cleared up and the Sun was making an appearance.

Even though The Weather Network showed our temperature felt like 90 F (32 C) this afternoon with the Slight Northerly Breeze coming in our open Windows we were comfortable not using the AC on the Eighth Floor.

Later in the afternoon I received a E-Mail in response to the Application I made yesterday. When I found it, it was past 5:00 so I’ll contact him in the morning.

Still feeling full from our lunchtime Wraps we had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Spinach Pizza for supper.

Sunny.

With a spike in our temperature tomorrow it looks like we’ll be turning on our Air Conditioner again.

Another Package and New Witness.

It felt so relaxing sleeping with the Window open last night. We both slept past 8:00 this morning. We made certain after having our lite breakfast to do up the Dishes because the Notice we had received the other day showed we would have no Water for Two Days.

We did take our Coffee/Tea to the Computers to read our Messages, News and Blogs. I submitted another Application this morning before making a few calls.

The first was to our Pharmacy in Amherstburg. Every Ninety Days I have to remind them to FAX our Family Doctor so that he will renew Kathy’s Prescriptions but this time I had to do it early. This Friday is July 1st which here is known as Canada Day. That is a Federal Holiday here and most times our Doctor takes the following week off. By calling early the Pharmacy can get the approval early and we can pick those medications up on Friday the 8th.

I also made an appointment that I failed to do last Fall. I got lucky by only adding One Week to the timeline.

When it came time for lunch we had Chicken Noodle Soup with Cantaloupe for dessert. We were surprised to find the building Water was still on so after quickly cleaning up I set about getting the Crock-Pot busy cooking supper.

Like many others we are interested in the January 6th Committee Hearings. We pay attention to Laws as we travel through the different States and what is happening. To say Kathy is scared with what is happening with Guns right now would be an understatement. Cassidy Hutchinson who was “Chief of Staff” Mark Meadows’ Aide under President Trump took the stand. Testifying under Oath she really filled in the blanks of what was taking place in the West Wing before, during and after January 6th 2021. This testimony change what a lot of people believed had happened behind the scenes about the Insurrection. After hearing from this Witness the Committee encouraged others that wished to testify to come forward.

Setting the Crock-Pot on Low we had to go to Guardian Storage to collect a Parcel that had been delivered for us. It was supposed to arrive on our Anniversary but it came early. Back at the Apartment Kathy was really happy with the contents because it was a Book. As I write this Blog she has already read a quarter of that Book. I’ll give you more information on Friday.

I added Sliced Sweet Potato Fries with Asparagus to go with the Barbecue Flavoured Spare Ribs. The White Grape Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) we tried tonight was made in Montreal and was quite tasty. I got a few compliments on our meal.

We watched the 6 o’clock Local News but it just does not hold our interest like it used to.

The Weather Network showed our temperature reached 79 F (26 C) this afternoon.

We have more errands to run tomorrow.
