Trying out my theory of getting up early on my day off seemed to pan out this morning, when I opened my eyes seconds before the Alarm went off. Luckily, it did not wake Kathy.
Starting off the week was easy, when I practically do it every day. There was already a Rebuild Feedscrew waiting on the Inspection Bench needing some TLC. When they are welded on the PTA, lots of defects are hidden, but there are some that cannot be seen until the machining begins. This was the Unit that Mile told me I had welded incorrectly, but it was only the top of the Flights I had done. Customers pay to have their screws Nitrated because of its hardening qualities, but if it has to be welded in the future, it is like trying to weld a piece of material shot with a Shotgun. I would do Three of these Units today.
Even though it was cooler than it had been last week, it still felt good using the AC on the way home.
We worked together contacting the Credit Union, so that Kathy could do her On-Line Banking. It had been some time since she last did it at home, and the Computerized Security would not let her in. With the help of a Customer Representative she was soon back on track.
We enjoyed Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls on Vegetable Rice for supper.
Even though it is only Monday, I’m looking forward to our upcoming Long Weekend.
