Progress Made.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Without Planning anything for today I was up shortly after 7:30. Knowing how precious time was once I was dressed I immediately started sorting Laundry. Most are rolling their eyes about now but even when we are out travelling that is a necessity of life that we all endure.

Shortly after 8:00 everything was in the Washers downstairs and I was headed back to the Apartment to find Kathy already making the bed. Not knowing what the morning would bring I made Over Easy Eggs on Toast for our breakfast.

I barely had my programs on my Computer open when it was time to switch things around downstairs.

Having had problems submitting the Receipts to the Insurance Company for the items stolen back last May I tried again this morning, and it finally went through. As the saying goes, “The third time is a Charm”. All the same information was submitted so it must have been the Computer playing a game.

I returned to the Apartment just before 11:30 with all the clothes folded. That allowed me to sit and rest my legs for a short while. The problem was it also gave time for my eyes to close for a few minutes.

We needed something not too filling for lunch but that would tide us over until supper. The answer was Split Pea with Ham Soup for lunch along with the Leftover Tuxedo Cake for dessert.

By 1:00 we were out the door. We had things to put in the Car as well as taking other things with us in the Truck. The reason for taking the Truck was I hoped the Diesel Prices were still down today. Gasoline has been coming down for some time but not the Diesel.

Arriving at Guardian Storage we started in our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. When we decided to sell our Big Trailer (Home) we added the contents from the Basement in with other things in this Unit. Now with a Smaller Trailer and Apartment we wanted to downsize and get rid of this expensive Unit. After setting up the Shelves and Workbench in the Smaller Standard Storage Unit I’m trying to get my Tools, everything for the Trailer and the Truck moved over there.

While I was doing that Kathy was going through Boxes to find things that will be making their way directly to the Trailer.

It was past 4:00 when we dropped a load at the Trailer so Kathy can put everything where it will be stored. She’s leaving the Basement for me to organize but we both want to bring less on our travels.

Prices per Litre for Diesel and Gasoline.
Diesel $7.263 US Gallon
Gasoline $5.121 US Gallon

As hoped for the Diesel Prices were still down so we stopped at the Pioneer gas station. Even though there are other Pioneer outlets in Windsor the one we patronize on Jefferson Avenue always has the best prices.

We were starting to feel the cold and we did accomplish quite a bit today so we stopped at Burger King for supper. Using Coupons did help influence where to go.

After getting ourselves refuelled we went to the Zehr’s grocery store. A lot of shelves were empty but that was the result of people stocking up over the weekend. We got everything needed and it all fit in One Shopping Bag.

We got home on time to see the Weather Forecast on the 6 o’clock Local News. I got my clothes ready, while Kathy made my lunch to start my work week. With the completion of many of the Feedscrews I’m hoping to see shorter workdays.

  1. Hopefully, you will be using that trailer to do some traveling in the not to distant future.
