Moving Day, Charge Controller and White Stuff.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Just like past weekends I left the Alarm turned off thinking I would wake naturally and get to the Gym at a decent time. Just like last weekend I’ll be setting the Alarm tonight so that I will make it to the Gym at a decent time tomorrow.

Kathy had a rough night so sensing her absence did wake me a few times but I would rather know she is safe. As soon as she’d returned I’d go back to sleep.

Since the New Management Company has taken over our building there have been a lot of upgrades with more to follow. Every time they are about to start something new they send a notice to the tenants. This week we were informed all the Balconies need to be cleared off so they can be upgraded. That means we will have to remove our Furniture and Tandem Bike. On Friday we were notified that the Larger Elevator will be down for Two Months starting Monday. Since the only way we can bring our Tandem Bike upstairs is by the Larger Elevator today was moving day.

No more Bike Cover to spot our Apartment.

After finishing our morning Coffee and Muffin we had work to do. Being on the Eighth Floor the Wind can be quite brisk at this time of year, so it was wise to bundle up. It didn’t take long to bring everything in but we could not leave it that way. Trip by trip it was all loaded in the Truck, with the Bike being tied over the Tonneau Cover. Doing that while bundled up was not bad when we were outside but being dressed like that inside between trips was Stifling.

Breakfast had worn off, and we weren’t sure how long it would take at the Storage Unit so we stopped at Arby’s for lunch. Using a Coupon truly helps cut our costs.

It was after noon when we arrived at Guardian Storage. The plan was to store the Bike and Furniture in the smaller Unit that we recently set up. It is starting to fill but that was not the problem today. What was the problem was the Southwest Wind Gusts of Thirty MPH that was blowing straight inside the door. After unloading we did not stay long because we were froze.

I dropped Kathy at the front entrance so she could warm up faster. The first thing she made for us when we got back to the Apartment was Hot Coffee.

Besides reading Blogs I was busy researching the Charge Controller needed for our Trailer. Most don’t have a Remote Digital Display, or allow for heavier wire then 10 Gauge. I located the same Unit that we had in our former trailer (Home) and will be ordering it soon. The Warranty on these products is only Two Years so I’ll order it when I start the installation to prolong the date.

Still feeling a bit chilled we had Chicken Noodle Soup for supper along with a Nanaimo Bar for dessert.

Glad we got the Balcony cleared off because the 6 o’clock Local News was showing White Stuff heading our way.

Now I have to set that Alarm.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

When I was a kid, my English teacher looked my way and said, “Name two pronouns?” I said, “Who, me?”

  3. The management had you do all that work clearing the balcony, but I wonder if they actually will do anything to it until springtime.
