Just as forecasted last night there was about Two Inches of Sxxw that fell overnight which meant I had lots of cleaning to to before the Truck could hit the road this morning. Since it was a Slush mixture it meant everyone should have used caution driving but there were a few younger drivers that figured it was okay to repeatedly weave from one lane to another. They didn’t care they were taking someone else’s Safety Zone causing lots of extra braking to occur.
Once inside it was the usual Touch-ups on the Feedscrews nearing their delivery and helping out where it did the most good. One was to use the Burners at the PTA to melt the Plastic off a Screw in for repairs. Doing it with the Hammer and Chisel would have taken Three Hours, but with the Burners it was finished in Thirty Minutes.
By the end of the day another Rebuild was already mounted in the Plasma Transfer Arc and the programming numbers entered.
When the end of the shift came everyone was eager to leave but there was another job awaiting us. I was probably more thorough then most and it took Fifteen Minutes to clean off the Truck.
I took Walker Road with the intention of picking up our Mail, but when I arrived at Guardian Storage the Office was all locked up. A written note said “Due to the Storm and Power Outage they had closed early”.
The closer I got towards home I understood what they meant about the Power Outage. All the Traffic Lights were out and had to be treated as Four Way Stops. All the Stores appeared to be closed. Even the Fast-Food Outlets were in the dark with no cars in their lots.
After
parking the Truck, it took only Five
Minutes
to clean off the Car.
Kathy said she only lost power for a moment before it was restored. This is why the Sxxw was Slushy.
After
quick check of my On-Line Messages, I started cutting up Broccoli,
Carrots, Cauliflower,
Celery,
Cherry
Tomatoes,
Mushrooms,
Onions,
Peppers
and Zucchini
for a Stir-Fry.By supper time it appeared to be melting.
The 6 o’clock Local News was forecasting more White Stuff overnight.
Our Veggie Wraps were wonderful along with a slice of Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert.
Hopefully the roads will be clear in the morning.

I am all caught up with your posts. Such a pain that I have to switch to Chrome to leave a comment. Nothing you can do about it, just old technology issues. Where are you at in your hernia repair? What is the next step? So glad to read that lief is good at work for you. It's about time.....
