Again I needed to knock on the Office Window in order to wake Paul but after he opened the door we never saw him again until 10:30 when he brought out Homemade Turkey Noodle Soup for everyone to enjoy.
Things were going well with the extra hands we had available from the Cleaning Crew but at 2:00 that all ended when they both left to do last minute shopping for New Years Eve. We both let our Wives know that we would be working late. That unfortunately left Ivan and I lifting then attaching the Eight Foot Shields by ourselves. It’s never fun when you are dealing with Old Machinery and reusing Old Parts that are all bent and twisted but we are slowly getting there.
It was after 8:00 when we locked up and headed home. The reason for the long hours is because this has to be ready to run production on Monday morning and we are not there yet.
Kathy was happy to finally see me. These long hours may mean a nice Pay-Cheque but it also means lost time apart that we don’t appreciate. Neither of us were very hungry so we settled on a slice of German Chocolate Cake and Coffee for our supper.
Again we want to wish all our Readers, Family and Friends a Safe and Happy New Year. Remember “Don’t Drink and Drive.”
The Weather Network showed we had a high temperature today of 41 F (5 C) feeling like 36 F (2 C) but it will be all downhill from here.
