I Figured It Out and Good Appointment.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It felt good not having to head out with the Grease Gun this morning and when I passed the New Drive-Motor it was barely making a sound. That of course didn’t stop a leak here and there from keeping me busy.

Storm skirting our area in the afternoon.

Back in the Maintenance Compound I was in the process of straightening things up from the weekend chaos when Paul the Owner stopped by. His instructions were to start taking the Old Drive Motor apart. The objective was to replace the Bearings that were leaking grease. Since I had never done an Electric Motor that large I asked for a consult a few times but Paul showed up Hours later with a smile on his face. The Motor repair was Ninety Percent Finished by then and Paul just said “I knew you would figure it out”.

After tagging it as repaired it was placed on a Skid for its trip to a Shelf while waiting for its call to duty. It was nearly the end of the shift so I spent time straightening Two more Drawers of the Company Toolbox. Instead of a mixture of all the same Tools in all the Drawers now it is specific to One Type of Tool. I might not need to use mine so often.

As soon as I got home I had no choice but to head for a shower because we had an appointment for 5:30. As soon as I started shaving Kathy started cooking a couple of Hamburgers in the Frying Pan. (Gosh we wish we could use our Weber-Q.) With Cheese and Tomatoes they tasted wonderful. For dessert we shared an Orange and had a Minnie Donut as well.

We were out the door by 5:00 allowing for delays but we had the chance to relax. Nancy and her daughter Jen were right on time. Even though this was our first meeting we had plenty to talk about. It was nearly 6:30 when we said our good-byes.

We stopped at the Wholesale Club on Dougall but like many other businesses since the onset of the Coronavirus had adjust their business hours. They closed at 6:00 so Kathy will try to get there tomorrow.

We stopped at Canadian Tire where I needed to get a replacement Taillight Bulb for the Truck.

We missed the 6 o’clock Local News so don’t have anything to report for the Windsor/Essex Region.

The Weather Network showed our Humidex only felt like 84 F (29 C) this afternoon.

Wondering what tomorrow’s challenges will bring.

  1. A long but sounds like pleasant day! Good. You haven't mentioned Kharem in a few days, or maybe I missed it. Seems he showed up once? Well, a more pleasant place for sure.

  2. For me, a job that had many different things to it is a lot more fun than the same thing every day.
