Awake, Second Incident Location, Running The Truck and Checking The Trailer.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Before shutting down my Computer last night I was surprised to see the Temperature was at the highest it had been all day. I almost felt like cheering but figured it would scare Kathy sleeping in the other room. Being above the Freezing Mark is everyone’s dream when it comes to RVing and once you feel that way it never goes away.

After having had a good workout and a satisfying day when I looked at the Clock at 2:00 I was wondering why I was still awake. Finally I couldn’t stand it any longer and got up. The first thing I did was to take a Tylenol Night-Time to relax. Being wide awake I needed to relax so turned on the Computer. Eye Strain is a great way for making yourself tired. Still not feeling tired I headed back to bed shortly after 4:00. The next time I looked at the Clock it was after 8:00 and I felt refreshed.

Looking out the Balcony Door even with all the White Landscape it just appeared Cloudy and Drab. The Temperature had again increased so hopefully that would make a noticeable difference on the remaining accumulation piles outside.

I was ready for breakfast before turning on the Computers. There were jobs for short-order cooks but nothing in my trade within Two Hundred Miles.

After we ate I finally got to checking Blogs we follow on our Sidebar and Comments left by some of our readers. On yesterday’s US News Media they mentioned where the second failed Plane Engine was but I was reading another Blog and did not get the location. When I double checked this morning they stated it was a Cargo Boeing 747 over the Netherlands approximately Two Hours after the Colorado incident happened. Unfortunately people were seriously hurt by the falling Debris in the second incident.

The problem is not with the Planes themselves but with the Pratt/Whitney Jet Engines. When news of the Two Incidents was released a number of Countries grounded all their Planes with those Engines.

We both wanted to accomplish a few things today so we worked together getting things ready for the Crock Pot to make supper. While I chopped the Vegetables Kathy prepped the Chicken and added Spices. This was a recipe that she found On-line but other then one ingredient it was very similar to her Pepper Steak. The other difference was the Meat.

For lunch we had Italian Wedding Soup along with Maple Cookies, Yogurt Cups and a Shared Apple for dessert.

Having watched a number of Walkers dressed for cold weather down on the Ganatchio Trail shortly after lunch I bundle up to go outside. Since we are not travelling nor am I presently employed we have not been driving too far. Also since it is easier to get around the city with the Car the Truck has been sitting for so long the Batteries are too weak to start it. Luckily we’ve been able to park them next to one another so I was able to use the Car to boost the Truck.

Once the Truck was running I drove to Guardian Storage for a few reasons. The first was to collect our Mail. Since the office was open today I was able to pay our Fee before going to check on the Trailer. Having brought my Spare Key I never shut it off.

With a large Drift only feet from the door I was surprised that it was like a walkway around the entire Trailer. I even checked the Roof making certain there was no unforeseen problems developing. With the Thirty-Two MPH Wind Gusts I felt froze through by the time I got back in the Truck.

Back at the Apartment Kathy had been busy sorting old printed Photographs we had stored. There were pictures of people’s backs or things that were out of focus or people that she had no clue who they were. Those Pictures made their way to the Recycle Bin.

Kathy had also been baking while I was gone using up Leftover Ingredients she made a wonderful Pineapple Upside Down Cake.

Supper was a big success with Pineapple Pepper Chicken and Potatoes along with a piece of Cake for dessert.

On the 6 o’clock Local News we learned of 14 New Coronavirus Cases along with 1 more Death bringing the total to 373 for the Windsor/Essex region. The Weather will be up and down for the next couple of days but within the week we could be seeing temperatures in the low Forties.

After cleaning up the Kitchen and Dishes we watched another Garage Sale Mysteries this evening.

Not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow.

Why did Karl Marx dislike Earl Grey tea?

Because all proper tea is theft.

  1. The total is 373 cases but what is the current active count? That would give me a baseline that would make it easier to follow which I would like to do since Dad lives there. Thanks.

  3. Good luck on warming up a bit. We are at 81F here in Falcon Heights Texas at noon. Got in a nice sunny three mile walk this morning for a change.

  4. Glad the weather is looking up. The trailer must be faring well through the winter and that's good. Terrible to be having problems with jet engines. Not good.

  5. I am sure you are happy about your warning temperatures. I can't believe you climbed to the roof of the trailer with those types of winds.

The food looks delicious as always.
