Baking, Cleaning, Cooking and Second Impeachment.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

It was another good night to sleep only waking just after 8:00 this morning. When I opened the Balcony Blinds the Sun was reflecting off the brilliantly White landscape. I barely turned on the Computers and was just getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me.

While checking the weather, local news and E-Mails there was nothing to respond to this morning. After our first Hot Beverage was finished we both got busy doing a few things we wanted to do.

Kathy busied herself baking a Strawberry/Rhubarb Pie. Since the outside temperatures were on the cold side I actually wore my Parka and Toque to go clean off the Truck and Car. The Sun has been melting the accumulation just enough that when it sets it creates a layer of Ice beneath. We won’t be seeing highs around the Freezing Mark for a few weeks so now they’re both cleaned off.

Back inside we worked together making Pepper Steak for supper in the Crock Pot. While Kathy prepped the Vegetables I was cubing and cleaning the gristle off the Steak. I actually find it easier to do while the Steak is frozen. Since I keep that Knife sharp the cubes keep their shape while they are prepped. Within Twenty Minutes supper was being cooked.

Then we looked a the clock to see it was time for lunch. We had Chicken Noodle Soup along with Grapes and Cookies for dessert.

We turned on the Television to watch the Second Impeachment of former president Donald Trump. He is charged with “Inciting the Insurrectionof the Capital Building on January 6th, This was different then the last time because he is no longer in office. First they needed to agree that it was Constitutional before moving to the next step.

The House Impeachment Officers started their Opening Arguments by showing a Video that showed not only a time frame of what happen but the extent of what happened on that day. After a brief recess the Defence Lawyers attempted to make arguments against but admitted to being overwhelm by the Video. They adjourned around 5:00 and will return tomorrow. Even with the Overwhelming Evidence the Commentators figure some will hold Partisan Lines rather then voting for the Constitution.

Kathy served the Pepper Steak on a bed of Rice then added a slice of Homemade Strawberry Pie for dessert. It tasted wonderful as always.

On the 6 o’clock Local News it’s looking like we might move out of the Lock-Down next week where more Non-Essential Businesses might be allowed to open. Today there were 19 New Coronavirus Cases and 2 more Deaths bringing the total to 345 Deaths for the Windsor/Essex region. There is concern that the Vaccine will still be effective against that different Variants that are now surfacing.

There’s more cold temperatures heading our way.

We cleaned up the Kitchen before returning to our Computers. Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow.

  1. I'm inspired. I have apple pie mix that I canned last fall waiting on the counter so today is the day... thanks Kathy.

  2. Oh oh what a pie. Not surprise you will be at the freezing mark. Cold weather has set in here, below freezing and will last, with our high for Monday predicted to 19F. That's cold for around here. Really cold. Buildings aren't built for Canadian temps. So, time to snug up!
