We Saw The Sun and Weather Variables.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Managed to sleep soundly last night without losing my bed sheets the entire night. Even Kathy would later say she had a good night.

I was up minutes after 8:00 and was happy to see the Sun was shining above the Clouds that lined the horizon. As soon as I checked The Weather Network and seeing the low temperature it was understandable why the vehicles were still White down in the parking lot.

I was just starting to apply for some jobs On-Line when Kathy joined me after 8:30. Because there was only a slight breeze blowing from the front of the building we were feeling quite comfortable inside the Apartment. After eating we headed back to the Computers where my quest to find a job continued. By the end of the day I had applied for Five Jobs.

Reading Blogs we follow as well as Comments I know that even though it’s cold we’ve had worse. Yesterday fellow RVers Marlene and Benno who live only Thirty Miles from us in Leamington had sunny skies all day with 36 F (2 C) high temperatures while we had Clouds and 16 F (-9 C). The highest accumulation we’ve had this year has been a couple of Inches while Al in Bayfield and Patsy in Paisley get about Six Inches each time. Even Contessa and Colin have been getting a lot of cold temperatures and Snow in BC but now things are warming up. It all depends on how the wind is blowing.

The last few years we owned our house I spent Three to Four Hours each day shovelling all the sidewalks and driveway. Ten Years ago I had mounds Three Feet High each side of our driveway. To say I don’t miss the chore is an understatement.

Before I retired it was not uncommon to be working on the Plant Roof where we had to repair equipment in Below Zero temperatures with Thirty Plus MPH Wind. That’s why like many we prefer the warmer Winter climates of the southwest US states.

We had our morning chores finished and had a slightly early lunch so we could watch Day 3 of the Impeachment Trial. We had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches garnished with Dill Pickles along with Grapes, Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert.

Again we watched as the Impeachment Managers completed their case that the former president had Incited an Insurrection of the Capital Buildings back on January 6th. Today they presented statements made by many of the Senators the day after. They also presented statements and videos from many of the Rioters stating the only reason they were at the Capital was by the urging of the former president. The managers wrapped up their Airtight Case in less then Ten Hours.

Tomorrow the Defence Team will start their case. After the Senate was adjourned for the day it was noted that lots of Republican Senators had been absent most of the day. One of the Defence Lawyers had left the floor to give an Interview to FOX News where he was rambling about things that had nothing to do with the case. Later Ted Cruz was spotted with the Defence Lawyers helping them refine their presentation. He is supposed to be an Unbiased Juror.

The Commentators were saying that all the Republican Senators they had talked to said that even though the Impeachment Managers had presented an unbeatable case they still planned on voting Party Line not to Impeach.

I managed to exercise while we watched that part.

For supper we had a Medium Store Bought Thin-Crust Spinach Pizza along with a glass of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine).

Today's high temperature.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they spoke about the 20 New Coronavirus Cases with 2 more Deaths bringing the Windsor/Essex region to 350. They spoke about the Federal Government securing Vaccine doses for us from India. It’s strange that the Vaccines purchased from Maderna before Christmas are suddenly not available now that the US has doubled their order from the same company. With the Variant Strains going around the Experts are saying everyone needs to protect themselves by getting Vaccinated s soon as possible.

Since the kids just got back to school the Provincial Government wants to delay the Winter Break by One Month. The Teachers Unions are not happy with that move.

We’ve got more Flurries and Cold Temperatures heading our way.

  1. We live right next to Algonquin Park snd have seen very little snow as well. Some of my farmer friends are worried about water levels. We sure don't need a repeat of the drought of 2012 that some of them are said to be barely recovering from just now.

  3. You are right to question and to state that is is strange that Canada is not getting any vaccines.
I wish we all could just move on with our lives without masks. Maybe some day.

  4. -6C(21F)This morning in the Gulf Islands. Severe winter storm warnings in effect tonight and tomorrow. As much as 9 inches expected in our area although I suspect that is for much higher elevations, we are about 100ft above sea level at our house so don't expect much here.
