As mentioned many times recently, I look forward to the weekends. Not only does it give me time away from the stress of the job, but it gives me time to spend with the “Love of my Life” Kathy. Besides falling asleep holding hands, we get to wake minutes apart looking into one another’s eyes. The smiles and laughter we share, along with other adventures is what makes it all worthwhile. I am so looking forward to the day that every day is the weekend again.

It was nice seeing the beauty of the sunrise. After a lite Pastry and a Juice for breakfast we read a few Blogs, before getting ready to head out the door. It was at that moment we realized the sky was totally filled with Clouds. Double checking the forecast, confirmed we would have a dry day, unlike areas all around us. I’ve mentioned before the area we live in, is a peninsula surrounded by the Great Lakes and they most times protect us from the weather.

The difference an Hour can make in the weather,

Our first stop was the Windsor Heart Clinic where Kathy had to drop off the Heart Monitor that she had been wearing since Wednesday. Her Cardiologist wanted to see the difference the change in her Medication was having on her. Kathy herself has noticed a big improvement but would like to see more.

We were going to run a few more errands before stopping for lunch, but when we saw the Hi-Ho on Howard Avenue open, we stopped to eat. This was one of the businesses that nearly closed due to the Coronavirus, and have only been open for Breakfast and Lunch for the last Year and a Half. The sign at the door said they are now back to full day service. Kathy had a Chicken Pita, while I had Meatloaf. The fact we ate so lite for breakfast helped influence our choices.

Next we stopped at Princess Auto to take advantage of a few Car Care ProductsOn Sale”. Plus I had a Rain-Cheque that I had to take advantage of.

With the warmer weather heading our way we stopped at Dollarama to stock up on Healthy Snacks and Juice at a better price than the grocery store could offer. Unfortunately not everything on our list was available.

At Zehr’s grocery store we almost got everything on our List.

When that happens we have learned to go to the Dollarama closer to where we live. Lots of things that store does not carry, can be found at the other store, and what they don’t have this store normally does. It worked like a charm and we were out of there in Five Minutes.

With all that shopping we made good use of our Two Wheel Shopping Cart to haul everything up to our Apartment.

By the time we had it all put away, it felt good to sit down. All that walking had aggravated my Hip issue and it needed an Extra Strength Tylenol to calm down.

We started feeling hungry after watching the 6 o’clock Local News, so we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Two Meat Pizza for supper. That was enough eating for one day.

With warmer clear skies for the next few days we’ll take advantage of getting things done.
