Surprise Appointment and Purchases.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even without taking anything to sleep last night I slept like a rock. Having gone to bed early I was surprised that I had been in bed for over Nine Hours. How did that happen? It seems to be a pattern that the earlier I get to bed the better I sleep so it looks like changes will have to be made to my routine.

Kathy followed me less the a Half Hour later. We had a few things we hoped to do so after a lite breakfast we got busy.

Clouds filled the sky right after I took this picture.

As we were scanning things we find important on the Computer I took the time to call the dealership where we bought our Car to see about getting an Oil Change. It has been awhile but since the mileage was still lower then their recommended number we were good. It helped that during the Coronavirus Restrictions we hardly went anywhere so the numbers stayed down. They were so busy the soonest we could get in was an Hour. I thought I misheard that and had to have him repeat that. That seriously changed all our Plans and we were suddenly scrambling.

We arrived at Rose City Ford exactly on time for our appointment. After signing in we had to sit around the Customer Lounge till it was ready. As usual everyone in the Lounge was approached by their Service Managers with a list of repairs that will have to be addressed but not necessarily now. Definitely a sign of how slow things are when they try to drum up business like that.

It was past 12:30 when we finally had the Car back. With a list of errands we wanted to run the first one was to have lunch. We returned to Taco Bell where we ordered Beef Burritos for our meal. They were tasty and satisfying.

From there we headed to Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail. Kathy was very happy to see some of the T-4 Slips that we’ll needed to complete our Income Tax Returns had arrived but there are more to come.

Next we headed to Princess Auto. Even though I’m presently off work they were advertising some of the Tools that were stolen last year. It’s better to replace them at Sale Prices now because even that is still higher then when I originally bought most of them.

Since we needed to get a few groceries we went to the Real Canadian Superstore where we got more Fruit and some Pastry. Considering tomorrow is the beginning of Lent we needed something to say we were giving up.

The Sun finally came out.

We were home shortly after 3:00 and while Kathy put the groceries away I busied myself breaking the Tools out of their packaging. It has to be their way of reducing Shoplifting because it takes forever to get that kind of Plastic off. While Kathy was catching up on the News that had developed while we were out I headed down to the Truck. What better place to store Tools then in the Toolboxes they would eventually be stored in.

For supper we had Grilled Salmon Fillets and a Southwest Salad along with Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) for a beverage. Then we each enjoyed a Boston Cream Donut for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported there were 2 more Coronavirus Deaths as well as 13 Active Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region.

The Weather Network showed we had a high temperature of 48 F (9 C) just before we got home. We can also expect a couple of cooler days before we start seeing more seasonal temperatures coming our way.

Krackers

You know your getting old when it takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.

  1. If you carry tools in your pickup aren't you afraid it might get broken into? The automotive shops might have a difficult time right now as people put their money into fuelling their cars.

  2. I hate so much of the packaging we have to deal with. Some I have to stab with a knife. Some I feel like tossing out the window.
