Allergies, Appointments and Keeping Our Fingers Crossed.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After spending another night struggling to sleep when I looked out the Balcony Door at 3:00 in the morning I noted that the Full Moon was partially shielded by Clouds. I remembered being taught in High School that lots of people had problems sleeping when there was a Full Moon. Of course Hollywood used it to sensationalize Horror Movies but this was something that researchers at the time had proven to be true. Of course with that lack of sleep meant getting up later as a way of catching up.

We kept breakfast lite with Peanut Butter on Toast but I made Hot Chocolate for our morning drinks.

I spent a lot of time applying for probably Ten Jobs throughout the day. The problem is that each time you apply your On-Line Resume is only a click away but if you add a Cover Page or Documents of Certification that has to be upload one at a time for each application you make. Then there were a couple of Companies that want you to do a Problem Solving Test.

We shared a Personal Sized Chicken and Broccoli Pot Pie along with a Southwest Salad for lunch. Then we enjoyed a slice of Black Forest Cake along with Mandarin Orange Slices and Yogurt Cups for dessert.

We’ve been having allergy problems in the evenings lately so we thought we’d try to find a way to fix that. As we were leaving the Apartment we found a Notice that the Company Handyman will be around to change our Fridge/Freezer Doors. If you recall back in January our Fridge died on a Sunday morning the first week the new management company took over. They were able to replace it within the Hour so we didn’t lose any food but with a Right-Handed Fridge and we needed a Left-Handed one. Because the Doors open the wrong way we’ve had to put our Recycle Bins in the Livingroom since then. I could have easily switched it myself but like Kathy said if something went wrong they would charge me for it. They’ll be around tomorrow between 10:00 and 4:00. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

We headed off to Canadian Tire where we looked at different types of Hepa Filter Air Cleaners. There were personal sized all the way to the size to do an entire home. Then there were some that did this while others did that. We also had to look at the availability of Filters. The one we settled on has no filters but a High Intensity UV Light that cleans the air of all kinds of Allergens and Pollutants. It was developed in Sweden and will take care of our main room.

Back at the Apartment Kathy wanted to do more reading then set it up by our Recliners. So far so good neither of us has started sneezing our heads off yet tonight.

Back at the Computer one of the Jobs I applied for wants to do a Phone Interview at 10:00 tomorrow. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for that too.

Not feeling too hungry we had a Store Bought Thin Crust Southwest Pizza. Surprisingly it was Spicy enough that Kathy could not eat it all.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported 28 Active Coronavirus Cases in the Windsor/Essex Region along with more information on the Invasion of Ukraine and what we can do to help.

Notice the Winds.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 45 F (7 C) with lots of Spring Showers heading our way. You should see the Radar.

Since I was planning on going to the Gym in the morning in order to be back on time for our appointments I’ll be getting there even earlier than normal. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  1. At least in my case moon cycles do not affect me. I just suffer from insomnia and have for years so I just accept it.

Your pot pie looks tasty. From what I have read from your and other Canadian blogs it seems that Canadian Tire sells a lot more than its name indicates.

Good luck with your job search.

  2. OK then! Refrigerator doors may be switched, and a job interview. Best of luck with both.
