Getting Antsy.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even though we really didn’t plan on going anywhere today I still had to set the Alarm. When it went off at 8:00 I was quick to shut it off so that Kathy wouldn’t wake with a start. That meant I actually had just enough time to start getting things ready for breakfast when she joined me. Breakfast was lite and while she got dressed I moved our Coffee/Tea to the Computers. Minutes later it was my turn.

On Monday we were given notice that the Exterminators would be in the building between 9:00 and 1:00 today and that we were to totally empty our Kitchen Cabinets. Since we have lived here we have experienced what we called Sugar Ants but after living in our RV thought nothing about them. We still store our Dry Food in Plastic Storage Containers which means we don’t lose any food to bugs. We didn’t empty our Cabinets.

From experience the Exterminators started on the top floor doing one apartment at a time before going down to the next floor. It was only 9:30 when they knocked on our door. There was no heavy fumigating just setting a few Ant Traps and adding a sealant type Poison around the Electrical Outlets. They said it was fine that we didn’t empty our Cabinets and complimented us on our Food Storage. They were gone in less then Five Minutes.

I did manage to apply for Two Job Postings today.

We had Italian Wedding Soup along with Cheese on Crackers for lunch and another Boston Cream Donut for dessert. We’ll give them up for Lent but we also won’t stuff ourselves in One Day.

In response to a Comments about storing my Tools in the Truck that was where I stored them after having the others stolen in the Plant. I also put a dark cover over everything so they are not so noticeable when someone looks through our Tinted Windows.

As for the Plastic Covers that were on the Tools I purchased it was necessary to use Scissors to cut them away. I can understand the frustration of nearly throwing them out the door.

We had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Hawaiian Pizza for supper then later shared an Apple for dessert.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported there were 1 more Coronavirus Death for the Windsor/Essex Region.

The Weather Network showed we had a high temperature of 41 F (5 C).

Tomorrow will keep us busy.

  1. Oh well done on not emptying cabinets. That's a lot of work...and good guys for not requiring it. There may be of course, some apartments not as spiffy as yours.
